So I only got an Optimum card in Feburary and since then I have gotten a ridiculous amount of points ... haha
So two days ago I decided to go hunting for some neutrogena lip balm, travel makeup remover wipes and aveeno lotion etc. for the bonus points!
I went to 5 SDM's
Now some would call that obsessive, I would call it determined!
1st SDM;
- Bought $150 gift card for this mission PLUS this weekend for covergirl and taxes for the redemption etc.
Total Points: 1500
2nd SDM;
- None of the items I wanted were on for the sale price and they were out of stock.
3rd SDM;
I go in and look around, they don't have the bonus point items but their clearance has a bunch of stuff I want!!
- 3x Herbashine hairdye with bonus hairspray @ $2.50 each!!!
I ran back out to my car to grab the coupons for $3 off I knew I had! = +$1.50 because she rang in the full $3 each.
(I had to go back in because 2 of them rang in at 11.99!!! But the beauty counter girl redid it for me with the clearance price. She thought I was a very smart shopper!)
- 2 X Huge Herbal Essence Conditioners @ $2 each = $4
- 2 X Natural Instincts hair dye with bonus herbal essence shampoos @ $3 each - $3 WUB2 = $3
- 3 X Vitamin Water @ 3/$5 + 500 Bonus Points = $5
Total OOP: $7.78 (Don't know why! - Should have been more I think lol But the receipts look right)
Total Points: 400 + 500 BP - She didn't scan my optimum card for the return. = 900 points
4th SDM;
- 4 X Neutrogena lip balm @ 3.29 each + 2000 BP each - 4 X $3 J&J = $1.16
- 6 X Neurtrogena Makeup Wipes @ 2.19 each + 2000 BP each = $13.14 (I go through these like crazy anyways! So I thought I'd stock up)
- 2 X John Freda Styling Gel @ 2.99 each + 500 BP each - $5 WUB2 = $.98
Total OOP: $19.48
Total Points: 330 + 20,000 BP + 1000 BP = 21,330 Points!
5th SDM;
- 2 X Netrogena Lip Balm @ $3.29 each +2000 BP each - 2 X $3 J&J = $.58
- 1 X Aveeno Travel Size lotion @ $4.49 + 2000 BP each - $3 J&J = $1.49
Total OOP: $2.46
Total Points: 110 + 6000 BP = 6110 Points!
Grand Totals:
Total Points: 29,840 !! Based on my math that is approximately $62 in points, on a bonus redemption
Total OOP: $29.72 (Okay technically it is $150 OOP cause of the GC's, but for this purpose those don't count because they will get me more points this weekend! haha)
PLUS it got me to PLUS status

Wow..great job. I never thought of purchasing the gift cards in order to get points. What a great idea! I am going to do that from now on. Thanks for the tip.

You should have asked for the SCOP because the Herbashine that scanned at the wrong price and gotten it free!

Very impressive. Of course now i want to run to SDM to see what i missed. I have not been out much this week & I missed all the awesome deals. So I shall live vicariously through my fellow SCer's
