Did you go to first choice or something similar? LOL thats most likely why
When I was in high school I took cosmetology and learned basic hair cutting techniques.
The one time I went to a first choice, the woman washed, cut, styled my hair. Then any pieces that she had missed from blow drying, she CUT THEM OFF!
I couldn`t believe it! I flipped and told her to leave it. Never went back again and didn`t pay for the hair cut.

I got an uneven haircut some time ago too. Went back, told them what had happened and got one of the best haircuts in years. Still, they should have done it right the first time.

i have long curly hair and it is a nightmare to find someone who gets my hair. My stylist has moved and so I need a new one. DS#1 used to go to my styllist so I made him go to her replacement it was awful the job she did. but at least it was himand not me.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Oh, too bad - but, yes, I've had it happen two different times, years apart, and went back to have it fixed.
Once at a very upscale salon, so it's not a question as to whether it's at a cheapie place or not!

I'm currently letting people cut and dye my hair for photo shoots so I get 0 say in what happens...I'm currently rocking super short hair...Like super short mushroom kind of style cut...and it's a bright fuchsia...The dye will fade and the hair will grow back so I'm not overly picky about my hair anymore LOL! Besides it means I don't have to actually pay to get my hair done since they pay me :p

I agree, it doesn't matter if it's a $60 or a $10 haircut, it can get screwed up either way. Don't paint all the First Choice places with the same brush, there are some good hairdressers in those places.
I'm with Rose of Black, I don't sweat much over a less than perfect cut. Hair is a renewable resource, it always grows back! I have no problem with going to the cosmetology school near me for a haircut; in fact I'm going there tomorrow to get a cut. It takes a long time, but I kind of like the idea of contributing to someone's education. They're always excited when someone wants more than just a little trim. I went there when I had 10 inches of hair cut off and donated it, the guy was psyched to do a major change for someone.

Yes, at least three times, once at first choice, and twice at two different higher end salons. My MIL is a master hairdresser, but we live hours away from her, so she is only my sometimes hairdresser, twice now she has caught me going around with very uneven/crooked hair :S. Once at first choice, I knew right after it was cut, it was wrong, it took me close to a year to grow it out so that it could be fixed. They cut my bangs way too thick.

I think once First Choice screwed up my hair and cut one side too long... they're usually pretty good though.
