I thought I would share this. I have seen several Sc'ers post about the information they give on their facebook page and how they are mistaken most of the time and I thought this mistake would make some of you laugh.
    Hi Shoppers ,

I have a question regarding the gift card promo that is coming up on the 10th Of November. This is when I plan on buying my Christmas presents (for those who recieve GC's) . What will the rules be for this promo ? will it be one set of bonus points per card or can we purchase more?

Shoppers Drug Mart Hi Elaine, we do not actually have a gift promotion on the 10th of November. Can you clarify your question so I can assist you? Is your question around the collection of points when you buy gift cards and how that works?

We are so lucky we have so many Sc'ers here that know what is really going on.

    Thanks for the post!!
yes, it is 20,000 points for $20 free groceries, however you need to spend $2,000 to get that many points...

yes, 20,000 points for $20, and if check your monthly statement, PC card always have acc. balance protect charge and also acc. balance protect tex which is often almost equal and some time even higher than the value of points you earned that month. For ex. in my Sep. statement they charge my for this $1.29 and the points I got were 1221 = $1.22.
I didn't observed this charge on shoppers or walmart cards.
Try to check you credit card statements and then tell if I'm right.

Need a cheap but still reliable phone plan. Try Public Mobile. Plans starting from $15 ($13 with auto payment).
Use code R8NLM8 or link when activate with Public Mobile and we both will get $10 bonus.
Win some extra cash or gift cards. Try Swagbucks... ww.swagbucks.com/refer/uanoor

I have never spent my points as of yet. So if I want to spend 50,000 pts do I bring $100 worth of stuff to register?

Yes that is correct and you just pay the taxes on your purchases.

its really offtopic but.. you do know balance protection is optional right? in fact they wont sign you up automatially... you must have signed up by mistake(they call lots trying to get you to get it ).
its really a crappy insurance in my mind but it works for some people i guess..
