Just filed yesterday...we are getting a pretty nice rebate so I'm looking forward to that money showing up in our account! We'll be putting some of it towards our mortgage and the rest we are saving for a new roof.

Finally filed today (had been waiting on my T4). Very happy that we don't owe the government any money this year!!

We did ours last Thursday at H&R, pretty sure they did something wrong since our return is the smallest we have ever seen and they don't tell you what your gst or child tax will be anymore. Taxes are so frustrating and confusing for me. We have to get the Disability tax certificate for my husband, how far back will they go? I have to have my son's renewed as well since they lost it Did I say I hate tax time lol

Pretty sure you can go back 10yrs for the tax credit.

How long did it take for it to be assesed / processed from the day you filed it ?

It depends on when the disability started, and how the doctor expresses it on the form. The tax certificate can lead to a big difference financially, but can be difficult to obtain because the criteria are quite strict. Good luck!

Telefiled my return on April 9 ..they processed & assed it on April 11 ..so that's just in 2 Days !!! ..and they are depositing my refund on April 18

I know! It's super fast - last year I mailed mine in, and it took a couple months to get it - and I didn't get a readjustment til Dec. This year, I got my refund in 2 weeks + when I had to do a re-adjustment, it only took them like 5 days to put it through

Mailed it yesterday afternoon-here's hoping it gets to the destination prior to any mail strike or other slowdown before April 30.

Mine ( refund ) is being deposited tomorrow

Timeline :

April 9 - TELEFILED

April 11 - Processed/Assesed by CRA

April 18 - Direct Deposit in my bank

We do our own taxes, and our sons. Netfiled and had the refunds within two weeks, that was about 3 weeks ago now. We always defer our oldests uni. tutuion to hubbys return (the highest) then give the boy the $ for the next semesters tuition. We have used Block before, once when we had moving exp., and another time for WCB. The price of 1 tax program, that does all 4/5 of our returns is less than paying Block for one.
