    Customs and Immigration Canada (CIC) and their incredibly long wait times are responsible for my finding this amazing website.

    DW is American and moved here last August and she's unable to work until she is (hopefully) accepted as a permanent resident (wait times are ~18 months). Being young, unwealthy, and now providing for two on my limited income, I began to HATE spending on necessities. A quick google search brought me here and I haven't looked back. I've been spending more and more time here (addicting stuff) and finally figured that I'd make an account and post a bit, if only to give more praise to the numerous amazing members here.

    So thank you CIC for enlightening me to the vast amount of money to be saved with coupons (or maybe you guys did the enlightening..)

    Welcome to Smart Canucks!!! also an immigrant living in Canada, but Im from Australia.It took 10 months altogether for my Permanent Reisdency (and I had issues with my medical! grrrr lol). Hope yours is quicker than 18 months!!!
