Yesterday i baked a carrot cake with pineapple and walnuts. I bought the Philadelphia cream cheese frosting (first time i saw that). I was given like about 30 lbs of carrots so i need to do something with them all.

I also baked a batch of Spicey Sugar Cookies.

Like the hosts of the Great Canadian Baking Show loved to say this season 3: "Bake!"

(Think I'll use the spice blend from the Spice Sugar Cookies recipe to try on 3 minute oatmeal and get back to you if it tastes like gingerbread spice! Giving up the limited edition Gingerbread spice oatmeal seek and find quest.)

HBOMax is geolocating us Canadians out of the recipes for Selena+ Chef that were in the first 4 seasons.
You can access Selena+Chef Holiday Edition (season 5) on the Food Network's US site without issue.

I found a Reddit thread where someone mentioned a matcha chocolate chip cookie recipe, which another Redditor linked to the chef's recipe, so here we are! The Best Matcha Chocolate Chip Banana Cookies - Candice Kumai (I did not watch that episode of the show so I am going back to do so.)

Found a door to the past with most of the Selena+Chef recipes (no Season 4, alas)! Selena + Chef Recipes | HBO Max (archive.org) TIP: use the print button on the Link's top menu bar on the right side, not your browser's Print option otherwise you won't see the whole recipe on your Print Preview!
There's a Rosemary Apple Cranberry Buckle! I have most of the ingredients and the apples. Woohoo, dessert tomorrow!

Resurrecting an old thread because I saw these 2 things and REALLY want to make just a few of the pinecones and some of the cheesy Christmas trees.
Now, I know better. Seniors tend to develop a senior's appetite. All you can eat buffets are a waste of money for them.
My parents used to say a person eats like a bird when they ate little food BUT have you ever seen how often birds eat? Our Frankie eats day long.
Anyhow I might try having these on the table next to the charcuterie board.

The pinecones I'll try to make small because the middle mixture is PB, Nutella with some icing sugar to keep it moldable but firm.
That mixture may be too sweet and rich to have a large one of. The cereal flakes I'm using is Cinnamon Pecan Special K.

The Cheese Xmas trees they recommend using Laughing Cow ( because of the convenient triangle shape ) but I don't like that cheese,
so I'm hoping to cut triangles out of of Brie or Camembert? The herbs and " green " things I plan to press the triangles into will be fine
chopped pistachio nuts and dried cranberries, fresh finely chopped spinach and green onions, maybe a bit of dried dill.
I'll make sure they stay chilled to stay firm before putting out. I love the idea of a pretzel stick being the trunk! lol

I searched through all the past threads in food to find a specific one that pertains to just Dessert.
No luck, so I'll post about it here.

Another member who shares incredible food hacks, suggested making caramels and or
fudge like treats with just 2 ingredients. Those of us on a weight loss run may need a treat
    every now and then.
However, I had to pass on this one because the 2 ingredients were melting a crap load of
butter and adding a dump truck amount ( I embellished that ) of an artificial sweetener blend?
No problem for some but just not for me.

Anyhow, she also added a web site where the gal made " nice cream " ( so NOT Ice cream )
BUT that reminded me of my Yonanas machine! Sitting alone in the back room since 2019?
So I brought it out, proceeded to cut up and freeze chunks of banana and strawberries.
Once they're rock hard solid I'll be making some healthy and delicious dessert.

Thank you @Lynn49 , you always have my back!
