Tear-Offs and TFT

I just started trying to get serious about couponing last week. I've read so much helpful information on this site, but so far something has really discouraged me.

I have not been able to find a single tear off pad (did find a couple empty ones) or TFT coupon at any of the stores in my area. I haven't traveled all over the city mind you, the price of gas would negate the coupon value.

With that said, I've been to 2 SDM, FreshCo, Walmart, No Frills and Metro. Am I just unlucky?

Is there a better time to go to try and find coupons? I don't intend to be greedy about it but there are some awesome coupons I'd love that I can't seem to find.

Hang in there! I've only been able to find tear pads at the SDM near my house, and this is new for this particular store, they just started putting them out on the shelves. I've resorted to and have been quite successful with trading for the coupons I'm after though. Also just joined a TFT train, so I'm excited to see what a TFT coupon even looks like!!! Good luck and may we both have luck finding coupons in the future!

I am also new to the couponing....Where in Winnipeg is the best place to go to find these tear off pads. Is there a particular day of the week that they are better? Thanks

Try sobeys, Rexall, Zellers, they all have coupons, or perhaps try trading here on SC. A lot of people don't mind trading coupons with newbies for unused postage stamps =) hope this helps!

I went on a tare for tear offs today! I had to go to another part of town to get cat food for my extremely picky yet wonderfully adorable cats. On my way back I made stops at Metro, Zellers, Rexall and Food Basics.

I think I found where all the tear off were!! That particular Metro was an absolute treasure trove. I restrained myself to 3 coupons per pad at each location and happily included TFTs since I had zero before this started! I came home with a thick stack of coupons, so very happy.

Metro also had the 6pk little chips on sale for $2.50 so I used up all the 50c off coupons I took which turned out to be especially good as they expire on April 30th.

The only tear-off I found so far is for $2 off bic soleil shavers at SDM, its pretty good tho cuz it doesn't expire til Dec 31 2011

Its not the best time to look for them, the new ones come out this weekend so most of last months coupons are gone - you should have more luck next weekend
