Ever since I started working at WM I've been sharing this great forum and couponing experience with my co-workers, I share lots of my own collection. I taught them how to get coupons etc...but they said they are too busy, besides why go anywhere else; where you can get them right here FREE, they said.
I get to a point that I feel overwhelmed with people request for coupons, and not returning the favor (ie: they found new coupons at the store - talked about it, brought it to show it to me, when I asked for a few - they simply said they only got a few for their own personal use). I asked if they'd go to that store again and pick up a few for me, they said it's out of the way.
Today the topic came up again in the lunch room, they said they heard that I have FPC and they wonder if I could share, I said NO and they got upset.
I missed go to the stores to collect coupons since I start working O/N
The job drained me....so I do want to apologize to those who have recently traded with me that it took longer for me to send my end...I will try to improve.
Thank-you for your generosity and patience. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

These aren't friends right, just co workers - so just reply the same whey they do " you only have enough for personal use".
Don't feel bad about it, if you feel used you probably are.

I absolutely agree, these are not your friends, & if they claim they are, they don't know what friendship means. It takes time & work to accumulate coupons. If they are constantly asking for coupons & not returning the favor, I would say the same as above or tell them you only have a few but would be willing to trade for something you could really use

My suggestion don't talk about coupons at your workplace anymore. If anyone wants coupons say you're to busy to bother about coupons anymore.

I wouldn't let myself get taken advantage of anymore. Unless they are going to share, I would just keep my coupons.

These guys work in WM , so how hard is it for them to collect cpns in the first place ? I bet WM itself puts out lot of MFR cpns on tear pads , if they can't even collect those , I don't know what to say.
At any given time there are lots of reps in WM doing demos etc and handing out cpns , they can also collect FPC's etc from them.

I don't hand out coupons to co-workers or friends who don't actively coupon themselves. I became tired of hearing about how their lives are way too busy to find coupons....as if I have 28 hours in my day and they only have 24?! Remember that we all choose how we use our time. I spend close to 11 hours every day working/commuting and I make the choice to do my couponing thing. I happily help out several people who have mental health or other challenges but I no longer help the able-bodied who think their time is move valuable than mine. I now keep a very low 'coupon profile' amongst co-workers and friends. It's my little secret and things seem to work better for me that way. You may want to think about toning down the coupon talk at work if you feel you the coupon-sharing has become a one-way street.
So many coupons....so little time!

I am exactly like the poster above .....The couponing is a one little/jumbo secret that I have have to keep to my self.I only discuss /share with my hubby so he is my best friend lol.I have to be very careful while talking to friends ,sharing our daily routine etc.
The reason is they ll think you are cheap.and if you gift them something,It d seem like from couponing/discounted.
I am saying this based on some past experiences when I used to share my amazing world of couponing to all.....trust me.

I've had coworkers that bring me inserts and stuff that they find but dont need (so like theyll take the one or two coupons they need and give me the rest for trading) then I'd make an envie of common coupons for them to flip through. I've been pretty lucky with people reciprocating, but not everyone is for sure (my MIL gets 3 sets of inserts each time and never send them my way even though I even offered to gove her envies and stamps to mail them! )

I think like many things this is a fine line. I do have co workers I will collect coupons for, if I have someone I am trading with and they do not have anything I can use but see something select co workers can use I will get the coupons for this. This is my choice I have had others ask me if I can find something but for the most part I just say sorry. I have many different deals on the go for collecting coupons, so I collect coupons for in exchange for any coupons they will not use, others give me samples they will not use. I am willing to help out most until it becomes expected of me at which point I distance myself a bit and just say sorry right now I only have time for my own coupons and need my supplies for my family.
I work full time and coupon and I know how hard it is to keep on top of everything but when someone who works less than i do expects me to do all the work for them as much as I hate too say no (I want to help everyone) I have to as I started to notice at times I would give something away and than not have it for my own family's use. I think coupons are like anything else, it is a two way street, as much as you want to help everyone unless they are willing to help back I just nicely say sorry I cannot help this time.

Sorry to hear about the "peer pressure" you are experiencing at work. I would simply tell them that your coupons stash is dwindling as you are the coupon welcome wagon, you get my drift and that the coupon fairy is now unavailable to share the wealth as most of the coupons out there expire at the end of the month and you have already passed them along to family or friends (which I am sure you probably already do). Don't lie, I'm not implying you will - just be honest in whichever form you feel comfortable with. Wether it be eating your lunch while reading a book or checking your phone messages, etc.
Best of luck and I hope the coupon beggars stop.2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!
