First off, I know I should go to the dentist lol since SC is not a dentist community but I figure I would ask to see if anyone has had this happen before.
So, I was just eating a banana when I could feel a crunch. Something hard somehow broke off of my tooth but from behind the tooth if that makes sense? From my lateral incisor... could this be a filling or the tooth itself that broke off? This thread is currently associated with: N/A

worst case, it could be a tooth that is decayed and therefore easily breakable.
fillings are well bonded, and don't fall off, unless the tooth structure around that filling has decayed and caused the filling to come off. highly unlikely tho.
get it checked sooner rather than later, because it will be easier, and cheaper, to fix now than if you wait longer. the longer you wait, the better potential there is for more damage to the tooth.
good luck, i hope it's just a minor thing!
