Granger, life doesn't stop just because we're on diets....over the course of my loss last year, I changed nothing about holiday dinners, other celebrations, and just went back on it the next day. That's the real secret....misbehave, but for only a day or two, then, wham! Back on it. Truth be told, I believe those dinners, just kept my metabolism firing on all cylinders! Keeping to a strict diet like I was on at the time can really shut down one's metabolism to a smoulder, burning nothing much at all, and in fact holding on to the calories for dear life. I never hit a plateau...just kept burning calories, and no, I never did any exercise that winter because of my pain issues, just FYI....:) So for those of you who can't exercise or hate it, don't think that dieting is useless without it! It's not at all true! Exercise for your health, for toning, yes, but don't NOT start a diet thinking it won't work because you can't exercise.
Happy anniversary, Granger, enjoy eating anything you want, then get back on the wagon tomorrow!
Up 2 , blech, dh is off for the next 2 weeks this should be interesting.
I am thrilled that I did not go up, but this is getting tedious staying the same weight. I blame mee-self though, all that yummy stuff I ate this last week is but a memory now and stuck somewhere equally on either hip.

Oh, I blew it, too!
Doing nothing, hubby cooking all my meals, baking muffins.....I'm probably up 10 lbs, because I feel pudgy, but I still can't balance on the scale...which is probably a good thing for now.
Happy weekend, everyone!
Taking the advice of a wise woman and going to "let it go" :P Onwards and upwards, carry on, charge ahead, release the hounds :P
Not sure if you can see this it may be on "private" . I think I have heard this 1000000000 times :P I love the dirty look she throws the piano teacher when she messed up . She kept botching the intro,

I love this movie every time I see it! The animation of the characters, their movements and gestures are so life-like.....I laugh every time Sven plops down on the snow after trying to get up the icy stairs..SO ADORABLE. Great. Now I want to watch it again!
Patty, great attitude, bravo for your strength and resolve and just carrying on and going forward!
Have a great weekend, Ladies and Curt, if you're here, somewhere!
Couldn't agree more Lynn, but we all know my problem is not letting the misbehaving repeat!!!
I know I am exercising enough to maintain..but it is about health too...I could be eating cleaner...but like WOB says we all have seasons where we want it and ones where we don't...but at least being here with you guys will get me back on the straight and narrow sooner rather than later!!!
We took my brother out for Chinese food last night. He lives in town, but I don't get to see him nearly as much as I would like. Anyway, he gave me a hug when we were getting into our vehicles and he said "You are getting skinny." That definitely perked me up. He knows that I have been slowly working on loosing this weight. I really wish that he would take better care of himself. It made me sad when I looked at our wedding pictures from 3yrs ago and realized just how much weight he has gained lately. He has always struggled with his weight, but there is only so much that another person can do to help, particularly when you do not live in the same household.
You're so right, Angela, losing weight isn't something a person can be talked into, unfortunately. It seems to need a catalyst of some sort...like suddenly catching sight of oneself in passing a store window...yikes! It's a personal decision...I hope your brother finds his window soon, Hon....
weigh in Friday......I wish it was better but I will always be appreciative of a 1/2 lb drop.
I have 15 weeks left to finish this!! Fifteen weeks ( end of Nov ) to get to the point I would like to be at. Oh and Lynn, btw there are no more packages of cream cheese or tubs of yogurt left anymore here, so hoping we will be cheesecake free till Christmas!!
Walks, Walks, Walks......tsk, tsk, tsk.....we ALL know what kind of diet YOU'VE been on lately!!
