I grew up in north Toronto & now live in west Toronto, I know very exciting.


My Nana was born in Rearville, AB! I bet you don't know where that is cowgirlmama & Armygirl lol. It doesn't exist now, she was born in 1919 and it was when they tried to farm the area but it couldn't be farmed too dry. Not sure exactly where it was, east of Calgary I think, but definitely in the middle of nowhere!


I cam down with a bad stomach virus (or something I ate didn't agree) yesterday and had a very unpleasant 12 hrs yesterday afternoon/evening. Feeling better today (and luckily DD doesn't have it) but still very tired & dehydrated Luckily didnt have to watch the kidlets this morning, and my dad is coming over later to help with DD.

Lol I was just doing some research on ghost towns a while ago, pertaining to my family history, rearville never made my list but a town call retlaw saw the same fate as what you are describing. It is amazing how many ghost towns the prairie provinces have and the people that settled them

we went out west in 2008 with my Nana and she was really excited to go see where she was born (its all fields now) but unfortunately the summer we were there it rain more in a few days days then it rains in a year (or something like that) so we couldn't see the exact spot.

i have some info on it somewhere, will look for it later today!

ok so i received a very nice package at 7:45 this morning from MeShell (I had to guess lol...I only knew it was Michelle from Hope lol)
For my DD
-a hello Kitty stuffy (btw way when she say it she yelled out "Hello Titty"...good thing she is only 2 1/2 and I know what she was saying lol)
-A princess cup that changes colors when you ad liquid (she couldn't wait to use it)
-some awesome stickers for valentines and hello kitty
And for me:
-an fresh berries smelling candle which made me hungry when i smelled it lol
- rolo, coffee crisp and after eight hot choclate....yummy
-kisses, swedish berries and cinnamon hearts...still deciding which to open first
-a glue gun and sticks....so needed this and was putting it off
-4 pairs of black socks...much needed for work DD hides all mine
-credit cards for dinner, movies, etc...cant wait to use these lol
-lotto for lovers tickets
-and a wonderful note pad with my name (the only thing i have with my name on it is a water bottle)

chesterjes, you did get the Hunger Games 2 book and the Tinkerbell valentines too right??? just wanted to make sure since you didn't mention them or see it in the pic? anyways you're welcome.....i have a son, so it's was fun picking out some girlie things and yes....a very pink package....i know your fav color is green but tis not really a valentines day color

Woohoo! Yay for peezzies arriving! I'm super excited. By now most have noticed I'm sure that unless otherwise requested, your buddies are within a province or two. I was hoping to help you all keep postal costs downish and delivery times to a minimum. Looks like it's working! Buddy, DH mailed my package to you yesterday and HINT - it's staying in Ontario. Lol...I'm guessing you may get it tomorrow, if not Friday.

Soooo....I'm going to try updating post 2 from my ipad but it looks like the first team is winning! 7 people have sent me their tracking numbers versus 5 on the second team! Wonder who is going ro win? !?

Remember, deadline to mail is tomorrow, and all tracking numbers have to be sent to me by Friday in order to follow the train rules.

Looking forward to seeing more pics of the packages as they are received!
