I am really tired of my friend who doesn't have kids, and has over $30k in debt for her and same for her husband, telling me how to live my life and raise my kid. Yes, my son at 3, still wakes up for a bottle at night, yes I want him to stop, no I am not willing to let him cry and I don't care if everyone she knows who has kids let their kids cry, I don't believe in it but I wouldn't tell someone not to do it, do what works for you, doesn't work for me. And just because you and your husband have over $60k in credit card debt, doesn't mean I do, and doesn't mean I can't afford to get the new couch I want for my new house, or anything else, I make a good salary and I am using sales & stockpiles to keep my spending in check so I can afford to get the things I like and want. Really really tired of it. I don't tell her not to get the beauty box delivery thing monthly or that perhaps she should pay off some of her debt before she goes to the movies weekly or buys comic books, or plans a trip to the US for Comiccon, when they have one here in Ottawa now. That's all. Makes me grrr.

Otherwise things are good I think, sold some babystuff for a steal, guy who wants to buy the freezer still hasn't shown up. And there was an appointment to show the house last night, the super was late and they were early so I showed them around, and they were going to drop off the application, so thank goodness, if they get it I don't have to worry about having people go through it any more!

Looking forward to couch shopping this weekend. Ashley Furniture has at least one set on sale I really like. It's far to go so we'll be making a morning out of the trip, and also stopping at the Walmart out there that has (hopefully!) the new bedding set I want, it's pink and purple I may check out Dufresne too, they have a deal with buy the reclining sofa and get the loveseat free, probably works out the same as the Ashley Furniture price, one is "durablend" (fake leather) and the other is microfiber, not sure how either would stand up to the cats/dog fur issues. Any advice is appreciated, I cannot afford real leather (in my dreams lmao) and would really like reclining if I can get it. I want to put my feet up!

I was complaining about the bottle thing at work and the lady who sits next to me told me that she made up a "bottle fairy" who comes to take the bottles away and leave a toy or special item. I think the bottle fairy may be coming to visit our house! Before the move. I'd been planning to wait until easter for the bunny to do it but this works. Now to think of a special something that I can get without him knowing

As for the couch issue, I had microfiber, awesome to sit on, comfortable, but attracted animal hair and was hard to keep clean. We went leather, no animal hair issues, easy to clean, doesn't harbor allergens, but yes there are a couple of scuff spots from nails. We also have real leather not the bonded or dureblend, we found a great deal at Leon's, cost us less then the microfiber, and then when it went on further sale 2 weeks later, they totally had no problem honoring the new sale price and I got more money back

we got rid of DD's bottle by shear luck! She got sick & didn't want her bottle for a couple days, so we just figured no more bottle, and it worked.

I did the fairy thing with her soo-soo (soother). I cut the silicone part off all her soothers and told her the soo-soo fairy took them. Except the soo-soo fairy didn't leave anything except the plastic part of her soo-soos. She cried for 2 hrs & the asked about it for a couple of days the got over it!

I never find any tear pads. I do 90% of my shopping at Loblaws, No Frills or RCSS and they only have the coupon zone ones hubby goes to food basic, sobeys & metro sometimes on his way home from work but never picks any up despite me asking

Let me tell you my DS Mitchell slept in our bed till he was 3 and then I layed down with him until he was 4 until he fell asleep. He has a bo bo ( soother) until he was 4 and I held off potty training until his 3rd birthday because his dad was deployed and I gave birth to his sister 2 week after he left to go over sea ( enough changes on the kids hand ). I had alot of know it alls tell me all the things I was doing wrong. But let me tell yah DS is now 16 he sleeps just fine on his own does not walk aroung with a soother and did not go to the last school dance with a diaper on (that I know of lol). He is well adjusted an honor student and a pretty awesome kid if I do say so myself. Kid do things when they are ready you are an amazingly attentive and wonderful mommy you sweet little guy will not Walk across the stage to get a diploma with a bottle! People need to mind their own business .
