I love to do roast in the crockpot, stew, lazy cabbage rolls, lazy lasagna. Sometimes I will do soup but not often since I don't like soup much. Also I do pork or beef roast, or even a chicken (the skin doesn't turn out nice but the chicken itself falls apart). I also do Xmas breakfast in there, a hashbrown casserole that is super yummy. I don't use any special sauces or anything, I put worchestshire sauce on my roast and in my stew, salt, pepper, some garlic. I use onion for flavour. If you can turn it into a casserole, you can do it in the crockpot

I should be working, but I'm procrastinating. The systems are really slow though, Outlook is barely working, even Word doesn't want to open... makes it hard to work when you can't actually use the programs you need! Is it Friday yet?

ok, i think that i missed a question but now can't remember what it is.

buddy.........there is another thing that i would like to add to my wishlist. i am looking for a change pad cover. i have a contoured change pad for the change table and would like something to cover it cuz carter seems to freeze all the time and his poor bottom lip just quivers. it can be home made too, not fussy!!!

also, i see that people are posting that they are making homemade gifts........is it a requirement for the train? did i miss something?

I don't think homemade is a requirment, some people just like to make stuff lol. (not me!!)

I used a receiving blanket on the change table since it was warmer than the plastic and easy to swap off if there was an explosion of some kind Plus I had like 50 of them from my baby shower...

worchestshire sauce! Good call...gotta add that to the roast! I just put one on (figure it`s gone in on high at around 1:15, and is a skinny roast (0.8 kg was the smallest I could get at the Frills last night!)...put a layer of carrots, mini potatoes (because it`s worth the $ to me to not have to buy a big bag, wash and deal with eyes :-s Plus the mini ones are good in salads!), some celery...rubbed the roast in oregano, parsley and pepper, put it on top. Dumped some diced onion and minced garlic and added a cup of water....off to add some worchestshire sauce! We use that to season steaks so must be good on a roast, right? Hubby just let me know his Tuesday 5 pm mtg is today for some ridiculous reason (really need to tell his boss that he needs to keep me in the loop when he's changing Don's meetings!). I'm excited about this roast now. My good friend of forever (kinda become a surrogate mom and definitely a benefactor) just sent me the recipe for butter chicken that she made last week when I was over. I introduced her to slow cooking before xmas (go figure) and she's gone hard core on it! Mind you, her youngest kid is 16 and she has a housekeeper and works from home....I can't wait to get a nanny! Definitely motivation to have a second kid! (Works out to be more cost effective for us to have a nanny in the home than to have 2 kids in daycare)

I do the same thing. I have a flat change pad and couldn't seem to find a non-contoured pad cover, so I just use cheapo receiving blankets. Way cheaper than the ones I was finding online, and it's easy for when daddy changes diapers and they have 'nudie time' without a diaper under her butt (amateur).

i have tonnes of blankies, just wanted something that would stay put a little as he squirms around.......a lot!! if i don't get/find any i might take a couple of towels and attach some elastic to them so that they stay on there and they are a little thicker than the blankies, just cuz we have so many towels.

The number of people on this train that are going to miss me (and my sense of humor) when I am away for 7 days.

That must be it.... what else is *that* important?!?!
