I feel so bad for him! Being scared all the time would be just aweful! I think everyone ideas will help along with seeing a professional, thats what they're there for! I really hope everything gets better for him soon and he can once again have a good nights sleep without fear.

Buddy's package is processed and in transit. I have a hint for my buddy, I grew up very close to where you live, I even used to go to dances exactly where you live!

Hi all, busy day here, up early and off with the girl I work with to go sort out her cell phone. Now taking DD to her counselling appt., going to mail my package while she is there and sneak over to Superstore for a looky. Then she wants to go to Walmart and look at cds. With the issues she is working on we have reverted to a reward system - $3 for everyday she is 'good'. She has 12 days in now. Pretty proud. I suppose I can divulge another secret here since this is the week for letting is all out..... She is a cutter, it's terrifying and absolutely out of my control. I have never felt so helpless as a mother and been so scared. She has been in couselling for a few months now and it really seems to be helping. She has had some set backs, but seems to be doing well these days. She is wearing a shortsleeved shirt today for the first time in almost a year. I am sure she will be thrilled if she knew I was telling you all this but then again.... I think it's a good place for me to finally tell someone. Being a teenager is so hard these days.
Please don't think I am a bad parent....

My son has always been nervous of having someone break into our house, and last year my genius MIL let two teen into her house in the middle of the night because they said they needed the phone. They stole the vehicle keys and then the vehicles when she went back to bed. Knowing our son's nervousness we specifically asked that she not share this with him.. well she is a mother knows best kind of MIL...yay me...and she told him anyway. He has had trouble sleeping since then. He has panic attacks from time to time, he will not sleep out of our house without me or my husband..so no sleepovers with friends or no visits to my Mom's (I'm so sad he is missing out on these special parts of childhood because of big mouth
) I have tried everything to make him comfortable, we allow him to lock the doors and turn on the alarm when he goes to bed, we have the dogs sleep in his room with him, we've shown him that no one can get into the house, assured him the dogs wouldn't let anyone near him, also assured him that we would never allow anyone to hurt him, taught him some self calming techniques and he is still panicking to go to bed, and it seems to be getting worse
