So, my nephew loves Lego. Unfortunately, I don't like to buy it for him for birthday/Christmas gifts because it's so expensive that at the usual sale prices, he'd get a small set and that would be it. For the last couple of occasions, I've found great deals on big, $60-80 Kre-O sets for under $20 and given him those, with a bunch of clothing (found on a great clearance) added to the gift.
Today at Sears, I found a Star Wars Tie-Wing fighter Lego set with four minifigures that had over 400 pieces. Regular $69.99. 50% off, as the stores don't carry toys now, except at Christmas. I had another $10 in Sears Club points on my card that I could redeem. So, $25 plus tax for this set. Not a giveaway price, but better than I've seen before. It sure made buying Lego more affordable! His birthday shopping is almost done... I got him a free pair of jeans at Old Navy on Boxing Day and a clearance Nike hoodie at Sears for $10.00, regular $40.00.

A Star Wars lego set of 400 pieces for $25 ? This is a super deal! Lego is great for both boys and girls to help them build spatial skills and give them freedom to explore their creative and artistic expressions. Thank you for posting.

i read in the paper a few weeks ago people are buying sets of lego as an investment like they would buy stocks or mutal funds. the hold on to them and sell them at a later date for a profit. interesting idea

as the mom of boys who love lego I can tell you this is a steal. We have that set and paid way more for 25.00 for it.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
