Freebies from Facebook question...??

I read the new post about creating a new Facebook account for things like freebies, coupons and contests...

The post suggested that we should have "friends" on this account so that it doesn't look suspicious.

I don't have "friends" I would want to add to this account, especially if information from these accounts are used in someway by applications on facebook.

So I was thinking if other SCers have similar types of accounts and they don't care about sharing them, since they aren't personal accounts and don't have personal information on them... we could all add each other and have "friends"...

Does that make sense? Would anyone be interested in doing this?

I would because I didn't use my real name and there are no pictures or personal information on this account....

I don't have different FB account, I use my husband's and just erase any trace of anything I've done after I've entered a contest or gotten a freebie or coupon, and have had no problems.
I don't do anything which requires friends on there in that regard - most often you have the option to 'skip' that step. I've only encountered it twice where I haven't been able to.

Sometimes facebook will delete accounts that have no friends so good idea!

There is a thread somewhere about this already (I'm sure someone will find it a lot faster than me!), I already have over 60 friends on my Facebook coupon account. All SCer's too =)

My real facebook page has no friends--I have had it for many years. Not having alot of family or 'friends' is not a reason to be removed from facebook. They just want activity-- 'like' a company's facebook page --that is good enough! Remember you can also mark your items to be seen by you only if you want privacy!

Yes I read somewhere that some facebook accounts were deleted due to unusual activities, such as adding many friends on the same day with most of them having no profile pictures, etc. They not only deleted that account but also those friends' accounts as those were reviewed and suspected as fake accounts as well.

So please beware.

My question is if your only liking something on facebook for a freebie, then does it matter if they delete your account? You can always just make a new account if the old one is deleted. I have a fake email account for coupons, and could easily make a new account if it was deleted.

I don't think it matters if you're only using it for coupons and freebies, it'll only matter if it's associate with apps like Checkout 51 - say if you had accumulated almost $20 rebate and then bang, the facebook account was deleted, you'd lose it all.

Depending on what permissions you gave them and which forms they use, they can save the data when you give permission - removing it doesn't take back that information
