I just got back from my third (ever) LD stacking trip. My first two were over Easter long weekend (Thursday and Good Friday). I think I made out pretty well today! I didn't get a huge amount of items (My coupon stock is running a bit low from the last stack, and I'm trying to use what I have left before they expire...) but I'm still pretty darned pleased with how it worked out!
The cashier was an awesome lady with a super attitude, who was cheering me on the whole time. I LOVE when the cashiers are on board with couponing, because it really reduces my anxiety (sometimes, I swear, they treat you like you’re stealing!)

My deals:
(4x) Tide Liquid (26+ uses) @ 6.99, used 4x $5WYB2 coupons ($20.00 total)= $7.96 (1.99 each)
(4x) Herbal Essences 2-in-1 @ 1.99, used 8x $.50 off coupons ($4.00 total)= $3.96 (.99 each)
(2x) Olay Ultra Quench body wash @ 4.89 (RP=6.99, but they were 30% off today), used 1x $3WYB2, 1x $5WYB2@, 2x $2WYB1 coupons (adjusted down- they were going to expire anyway so I didn’t care)= FREE
(2x) Old Spice body wash @ 4.99, used 2x$3WYB2, 6x$1WYB1 (again, adjusted down ‘cause they were just going to expire anyway)= FREE
(3x) Gillette Triple Protection deodorant @ 3.99, used 6x$1WYB1, 1x $5WYB3= $0.97 (0.323 each)
(4x) Clorox wipes @ 2.29 ($4WYB2), used 4x$1WYB1= $4.00 (1.00 each)
(1x) Dial Lotion @ 2.99, used 2x $1.50WYB1= FREE
(1x) Pampers Easy Ups @ 19.99
(1x) Pampers Wipes @ 4.99 (bought wipes/diapers together to further stack), used 2x $4WYB2, $1x $4.50WYB1, 2x $1WYB1, 2x $3WYB1= $4.48 (for both diapers and wipes)
(1x) Charmin bathroom tissue @ 9.99
(1x) Bounty towels @ 9.99 (bought Charmin and Bounty together to further stack), used 3x$1.25WYB2, 6x$.50WYB1= $13.23 ($6.615 each)
The pack of Charmin came with $20 worth of coupons, which is an AWESOME bonus!
Total Amount: $123.60
Total Taxes: $13.43
Subtotal: $137.03
Coupon Savings: $89.23
Total OOP: $47.80 ($34.37 total, before taxes)Last edited by MercuryBlue; Sat, May 7th, 2011 at 07:02 PM. Reason: Adding picture

They're not always so accepting, unfortunately. They all seem to be well-informed of the coupon policy (which is GREAT! I haven't had to whip out my printed version yet) but some definitely have better attitudes than others.
I've had two REALLY amazing cashiers there. The last time I bought diapers and hair dye (4 of each), my cashier was absolutely stunned by savings and cheered me on. She was a younger girl, maybe early twenties. The lady I dealt with today was an older woman, and she kept sending people to other checkouts by saying, "I'll be a while, I've got a stacker here!" She did it in a way, though, that made me not feel embarrassed at all.
Prior to my LD shopping trips, I always go through my coupons and make sure they are indeed stackable and not expired. Then I paperclip them into 'bundles' for each product with a post-it note stuck to the bundle (breaking down how many item's I'm buying, what the price is, how many coupons I have, what the tax should be, and what I should be paying for the product, total).
When I'm ready for check-out (I always go early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid a rush), I go to the first open cashier and say, "I have a lot of coupons. Would you prefer it if I went to Customer Service?" Basically, I leave it up to them where I go (making sure to have a really accomodating, pleasant attitude the whole time).
As I'm putting my items on the counter, I hand the cashier my 'bundles'. The lady I had today must have thanked me ten times for being so organized (and relaxed). She mentioned that a lady had come in before and gotten so angry with her over a one-cent overage that she stormed out without buying anything! In the end, she seemed very impressed with my coupon savings and thanks me for my business. Overall, I give her an A+ for service!
On the other hand, I've had to deal with unpleasant people there as well. They know the policies just fine, but you can tell they resent them. I've had a woman gripe about my coupons the entire time and tell me they were too 'short-staffed' to deal with people like me (as if that's my problem). It sucks when you have to deal with grumps like that, but I try to just kill them with kindness, lol.
The Clorox coupons looked as it they'd been taken from packaging- they weren't tearaways, from a flyer, printed, or ordered online. I'm not sure where they came from, I got them in a trade.Last edited by MercuryBlue; Fri, May 6th, 2011 at 01:53 PM.

OK....correct me if I'm wrong (I'm new!), but you said you bought 4 Tide and used 4x $5off WUB2. Can't you only use 2 coupons (as they were WUB2)? Or were they different ones? I need some 'stacking' couching!! Thanks!

Can you explain that? I'm not following, since we can't use the P&G online coupons, I'm not sure what other WUB2s there are, and you'd have had to buy 8 to use 4 insert coupons.

LOL. I think I ordered them RIGHT before they changed the wording. I've been holding onto them PRAYING for a good deal on Tide. You can imagine I about died when they went on sale today. Unfortunately, I only had two of the ones with the old wording left- or I would have bought a lot more!!

We tried to buy the Venus Razors at London Drugs just to check out the coupon stacking thing. We tried purchasing 2 packages of disposables and then tried to use the 2.00 wub any venus disposables and 2.00 wub any venus razor and the cashier wouldn't accept both coupons, even though there were 2 packages of razors. We ended up leaving without the razors and were really confused.
We don't really understand why some people can stack coupons on *one* product, but we can't use 2 coupons on 2 separate products. If anyone can explain what we did wrong, we would really appreciate it!

I can't say for sure what you did wrong. What sort of coupons were you trying to use (the online P&G ones or the flyer ones)? If you were using the online ones, were they the new ones with the restrictive wording, or the old ones?
Based on what you've said, I can't think of any situation where you wouldn't have been able to use two coupons for two different packages of Venus disposables at LD, provided they weren't expired. If these were flyer coupons, they would have been stackable with each other (that is, you could have used 1 'any venus razor' and 1 'any venus disposable') together on one package of razors. If these were the new manufacturer's coupons with the restrictive wording, you wouldn't have been able to stack them- but you WOULD have been able to use one coupon for one pack of razors, and another coupon for another pack.
It's always hard to pin down exactly 'what went wrong' without being there (because there might have been some tiny variable that we're not aware of)- but it sounds like the cashier just didn't know what they were doing. ANY store you go to would have allowed you to use both coupons, since what you were doing wasn't stacking at all.
For future reference, I'd suggest keeping a copy of the store's coupon policy on hand just in case.
