$2 Grab Bags at Micheals!!!!!

Ottaw trainyards location still had a lot left. when i called they said they had over 150 bags. i bought about 40 to donate at xmas but like i mentioned in prev post. 98% is xmas decorations. will post pix

yay! so glad you found the boxes!! my DBF went back to langley and they were sold out!

The Newton location (KGH) had boxes right at the entrance when you walked in (about 25-30) and a bin full of Michaels' plastic bags (double bagged) and labelled $2 grab bags.

Thanks for the tip about the Christmas decor. I still haven't opened up my bags - will do so tonight - and I will donate extras! Had no idea they would be in demand!

The grab bags are definitely a way of just clearing out the seasonal stuff or what they've had on clearance for a while to clear out everything.

At the location I went to they were sitting right by the cashier section in a bin. It's just a couple of Michael's plastic bags (the big ones) stuffed with goodies inside. There was a sign that said "Grab Bags $2".

There were only a few left at the location I visited and all of them seemed to be Christmas specific (I was able to peak inside), so I didn't grab any, but good find for those looking for decorations for cheap.

They usually come out after each holiday season. There may be one after valentines day next when they are trying to clear out all the red and pink heart stuff

Going to check out a few more Michaels stores tomorrow, really hoping I find them!!! The few people that have described what's in them have gotten me super excited. I make a ton of baskets throughout the holidays and during the year, so baskets and ribbon would be awesome.

I got at least 15 rolls of ribbon from the 4 bags I purchased and its the nice ones too. Hope you find some.

Were you there yesteday around 4pm?? If yes I saw you there and was the one who directed you to the other section I only bought 4 ....tons of ornaments in mine, 5 bead garlands, Gingerbread House Kit, Mug and alot of those stick flower decoration things. Worth the money for sure I am going to try the Bank Street location today after work.
