Thread: More of a Thank You then a Brag

I thought it fitting that my first post be a huge thank you to all of the wonderful SCers out there that share in their finds, coupons, freebies, etc.
I have been a lurker here for quite some time, never having the motivation to register because I figured I just didn't have the time and it wasn't really worth it to coupon.
I started couponing seriously within the last few weeks, using this board to help guide me in the right direction.
In those few weeks I have managed to begin a small stockpile, one which will help my family immensely as I begin a 3 year schooling journey, working towards a new career after being laid off.
Most of these items were free, or so extremely cheap I couldn't resist. I went to a Shoppers looking for some Motrin and found out they were in the midst of putting out 4 large clearance racks. Talk about right place at the right time. I used coupons on everything I could, and got a ton of stuff for just over $50 (plus got a $10 gift card for spending over $50). My savings with the coupons was $122.93, and those were clearance prices...lol I hate to know what the retail on all of it was.
And here it is, our house isn't very large, and I am currently using our linen closet, but I think I will be needing some shelves in the garage very soon.

contents of the pink bowl...all freebies (regular and mens brandsaver) and super cheap razors

The BBQ sauce came from walmart and RCSS (made money on them both), and the relish is from Food Basics @.24 a jar.
Not pictured are all the ziploc bags, boxes of cereal, and bottles of Tide and Purex gotten free or cheap.
I also live on the US border, and am excited to start learning their ways of couponing...lol baby steps though. I just did my first Walgreens trip this weekend.
So thank you and I look forward to becoming a contributing member of this amazing forum. This thread is currently associated with: Food Basics, Garage, Real Canadian Superstore RCSS, Shoppers Drug Mart, WalmartLast edited by SydandPaigesMom; Thu, May 19th, 2011 at 08:27 PM.
