Okay since i need advice and you are all the smartest people I know i am coming to you. I think I am finally ready to make the commitment and buy an e reader I have decied on a Kobo glo because I can rent libray books and its wifi. I am wondering if any of you have one and what your thought on it are and also I am very cheap (yah i know wierd right lol) but is there a way to get shall i say unpaid for books besides the library?

No kobo for me so I can give advise. All I know is my sister has a kindle & wishes she had a kobo for library books. Although I do know any books published more than 100 years ago are free, some copyright thing, so if you are in the the classics then you are set. Originally Posted by Armygirl76

Check out your library and see if they have limitations between kindle/kobo...mine supports kindle, other formats that can read "pdf" and I was able to download an app on my ipad and android phone to check out books.

I have a kooboo and it works well..HOWEVER..I have gone back to bound books as I just love to hold them and I do not enjoy holding a machine...

So today is fire alarm testing day in my building...... Yes it works, it has been going off every 1 minute for the last 10 minutes, it is super high pitched. Yet somehow the girl I watch can sleep through it

Oh, some of the files are .mobi which a friend who has a Sony can't use, but you can use Calibre which is a free software to convert them to a format you can use (pdf or ebook or whatever). I think I've done some of them but probably not all.
