Argh, my mum is driving me insane! My parents are retired and normally visit DD & I one day during the week. We normally go out somewhere, because I don't drive to the store or a mall etc. Due to my mum's busy social calendar she asked me in September to reserve one day for her visits, we decided on Tuesday. On the weekend she told me Tuesday doesn't work this week, fine I will re-arrange DD's schedule, any day but Wednesday is fine. (I watch other kids in the mornings until noon, but only get paid until 10am, long story, so if I need to do something or go, I can just watch them to 10, except for Wednesday which is the day their grandma picks them up! Side note their grandma is my mum's friend!) Anyways we agreed on Thursday so cancelled DD's play date. Now my mum calls to change her visit to Wednesday (the day that doesn't work) because she has now made plans for Thursday! She insists on coming on Wednesday! So now my parents are going to be randomly sitting round my apartment for 2 hours while I babysit. Fun times! Plus my DD misses out on her play date for no reason.

That's it, the mess is one thing, but no chocolates... divorce him! Lol, just kidding, I feel for you, sounds like your day was as great as mine! BF just went for pizza, I walked in the door and grabbed a blankie, I am not moving from the couch until I'm ready to move into the bed!

Hey Pumpkin - went to Michaels today too - had a fabulous morning - time sure flies when you are having fun! Got a couple of things for my buddy!
Coyote- Congratulations and I know how you feel. My niece had a baby last year when she was 18. She had a beautiful baby girl and is a good mom but she is still a kid herself and doesn't always make the best choices (who gets a tattoo when they are on welfare ahnd then can't afford to pay the hydro bill!) My brother has had to bail them out on a number of occasions - i don't know if she realizes how lucky she is to have supportive parents! The boyfriend unfortunately is on again, off again but that is another story! Take care!

I made the mistake of going with dh and alexa on Saturday. It's just not the same when they're standing over your shoulder. Needless to say, I bought a ton of yarn...going back this week to get more

Today... I stayed in "Pumpkin Land". I didn't answer the phone. I didn't cook supper. I didn't do the dishes. I didn't tidy up. I didn't do the laundry. I didn't walk the dog(s). I didn't make something for his lunch tomorrow. I didn't make the bed.

I did however prove a point to my hubby that I don't sit around the house all day doing absolutely nothing.

Sometimes proving a point without saying a word is TONS of fun

Now that he has apologized he will enjoy the privilege of sleeping tonight.
