Saved on Groceries

This is my first brag... and the first time I've ever really used coupons to any extent, so this is a thrill for me! I got inspired to use coupons after watching Extreme Couponing... and to be honest, I have to admit that I actually scoffed at the women who would spend so many hours per week cutting out coupons and such. But never again!
Yesterday I got my regular batch of flyers for weekly sales, but instead of throwing them out, decided to look through them to see what kind of deals I could find. I expected to see only prepackaged foods, which we don't eat as my husband and I both prefer home-cooked meals. But to my surprise Save on Foods had a BOGO week on with many of the products that we use regularly!! So.. I started clipping and headed to the store with only a few coupons... but then saw another flyer in another buggy... and then another flyer... before I knew it, my daughter and I pushed out two full grocery carts to the check out!
Those of you who have been couponing for a while know what I'm talking about when I say the look on the check out girl's face was PRICELESS! LOL!! I handed her my stack of coupons and let her ring in the order. When all was said and done, I found out that I had saved OVER 1/3 of my grocery order! I was absolutely floored!!
I can't WAIT for my next batch of flyers and have told my husband to bring home all the papers from work too! He laughed at me when I headed out this morning... but that smirk was wiped off when he saw the grocery bill and how much I came home with! :D

Thanks everyone! Yes, it sure is a great feeling! As I mentioned, I've only just started, but I'm looking forward to learning more about saving and couponing.
I also want to send out a huge thank you for the guy who originally recommended this site to me a few weeks back. My husband and I were in the new Surrey, BC Walmart and this guy gave us a coupon for ziplock bags and recommended this site to us. I never got his name... but if he sees this... THANK YOU!

check out the header above LOCAL , then BC then Vancouver, we meet every 2 week on a Saturday and trade coupons, this would be good for you since you are just starting, we meet in Burnaby thats just over the bridge for you.
