RCSS brag and rant

Went down to my RCSS today with my coupons and fliers. Right by the front entrance was a bin of dove deodorant value packs that came with a body mist for... $1.44 !!!!! I grabbed a 2 pack of dove bar soap that was on sale for $1.99. I used my save $2 wub2 that I grabbed from SOF a while back.
Then I price matched the sunlight dish soap for $.99 and used the .50 off coupon zone coupon making each bottle $.49 !!! I bought 4 ..lol
Everyone was very nice and paitent with me and even congratulated me

Naturally, I went back later. Almost all of the dove value packs were gone and I managed to grab 2 more ( total = 3 deodorants, 3 body mists and 6 bars of soap for $4.32+taxes!!! )

I tried to get the sunlight again. I dealt with a different "front end supervisor". She couldn't figure out how to price match and was getting very frusterated. When the cashier told her I also had the .50 off coupons she flat out said NO! She said I was already getting a discount and that made the coupon void. I said I had done it before and someone eles approved it. She said she wasn't going to let me buy it for .49 cents each. I said fine, but I didn't want all 4 I would take 2. She got SO mad and couldn't figure out how to take them off so I said fine I'd take them. She made me feel so guilty for tring to get a good deal. And I ended up paying more than I wanted to. I am fairly new and every time I have used a coupon it's been fine. This was totally embarassing. I wish I had a policy with me (stupid not having a printer ). She made me feel like I was tring to rip her off. It's not like it's coming out of her pocket

Anyways, after that bummer, I went to SDM and grabbed a Fusion proglide razor and deodorant gift set that was on clearance for $3.99 and used a $2 off coupon and got it for $1.99... made me much happier.

Even without the extra coupons I still think I got a good deal.

8 bottles of sunlight
3 dove deodorants, 3 body mists and 6 bars of soap
Razor gift set
With taxes and all it was just under $14


This makes me so happy because I used to buy sunlight for full price. And if I had, that 8 bottles alone would have cost me more than all of the stuff I got today. Thank you SC and thank you coupons!!

Boy, it gets frustrating....here's a prime example of different info/policies within the same store! It would probably be a good idea to carry a copy of the store's policy with you.....I don't do that, but probably should, Sometimes you really have to stand your ground, and really, we are the customer, we shouldn't have to put up with abuse!!!

Thanks guys! I am still pretty proud of the deals I got. I started giggling to myself when I saw the doves... I knew I would get a great deal on them. I have a mini stock pile going on under my bathroom sink, I love staring at it. I have another one of cleaners under my kitchen sink. I never knew couponing could be so much fun and rewarding!!

I'm surprised that last supervisor didn't insist that they only PM diapers and formula! (some say that, others don't).. I'm happy for you that you made an awesome haul before the mean supervisor came on.. WTG!
