I decided to keep a running total of the dollar amount of coupons I use as I shop each time from January to December this year. With February coming to an end, I'm happy to report that my total so far is $391.11. I wanted to hit $400, but I nearly doubled my total from last month so I am happy.

Awesome! But don't fall into this trap: My friend's BF just joined SC and I scratch my head when I hear about how many items he is buying just because he had a coupon, but he would never have bought it in the first place. That's not saving at all!
Apply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

Definitely am always looking for lowest price on all products that I buy so no buying just to "save" here.

I have no way of tracking January, but for February I can. Starting feb. first I started price matching more and couponing better. I believe I am around $150 this month, I will have to go back and read my receipts again. But just price matching I saved $57 today alone!!

Call me the Coupon Lady - GREAT JOB!!! I use coupons as well over the last two years but only have about $200.00 per year, which I even love that. Every time I use a coupon I put the value in a "stash" and when I get to $500.00 am going to go on a little shopping spree just for myself! That way I can tell myself I got great clothes/purses/etc., for free and seems I enjoy it more when the money I save isn't just going into my wallet to be spent on more groceries. Having said that though, I realize that is not an option for everyone but my daughter is grown, and there's just me and my guy so no one is without food/shelter when I do it this way! Great Job - Maybe someday I'll reach your level!

Good job
Its fun to see how much you have saved. I started keeping track when I joined sc on november 22,2012 so far I have used 1412.59 worth of coupons ( thats not includeing mail in rebates, fresh points or checkout 51). I have a great stockpile full of things we go through quickly

Thanks everyone! It's been so much fun. I always think it's hilarious when someone in line at the store asks are you one of those extreme couponers when I pull out my coupons.
