    So i went into walmart today and got a couple of things. when i got home i looked at my reciept and it said the subtotal was $-.48 but the hst was $8.50 , so my total was ended up being $8.50 how could that be if the subtotal was $.-48?

    hi, did you use FPC? $8.50 is the 13% tax for the FPC. walmart always charges full tax on Free items. so with that said, if you redeem your FPCs there is not total FREE, you need to pay the tax. but the -$.48 means, you have got an overage of -$.48

    yea i know. i only paid $1 something of tax for a total bill of $50.00. it's a little confusing though because i only used two fpc

    Glade product said clearly that "All taxes if applicable must be paid by the customer". Some FPC indicated very clearly customer need to pay for the tax, like P&G types.

    Me either. Its not a FPC if I have to pay tax. SOME FPC's include tax, read the fine print. The ones that don't all get redeemed at shoppers as they never charge tax on FPC's
