First Brag: 200 airmiles for $18!

Okay so I have been couponing on and off for about two years now, but this is my first brag so please bear with me if I make any mistakes.

Normally I won’t shop at Safeway because I find that their prices (even club prices) are usually more expensive than other stores like RCSS and Walmart, however, I do sometimes take advantage of their sales (even if they are not the greatest) if they will get me airmiles.

Recently I have been saving airmiles to go on vacation to California. Before this shopping trip I was about 400 short of what I needed, after this trip I only need about 100 more!!!!!
The great deal was on Kelloggs Cereal. It was buy 6 boxes get 100 airmiles, and they were on sale for 3/10$ (3.33 each) the plethora of coupons out there for Kelloggs Cereal made this trip a no brainer. (I am jealous to see that there was a $2.00 sale on Vector cereal this week in some places, unfortunately I live in MB and that deal was not available here.)

I did two transactions at two different Safeways (I didn’t want to be seen as a shelf-clearer). Also, all of my websaver coupons are legit. When I heard about this deal I called a bunch of friends and family and convinced them to sign up for websaver just so they could print the Vector $2 coupon. *THANKS EVERYONE* (now I will definitely be called the crazy coupon lady )

1x 2L Lucerne Choc. Milk @ 2.00 = 2.00 (saved 2.09)

(I know it’s a lot! I normally wouldn’t pay that but the DH called while I was at the store and asked for the next 3 items, he wanted to make Nachos which were not in the meal plan!)
1x Lucerne Sour Cream @ 2.80 = 2.80
1x Best Buy Marble Cheese @ 6.49 = 6.49
3x Artisan bulk rolls @ 0.25 = 0.75 (for my sister who was shopping with me)

Total Value of Products: 51.04 Total OOP: 21.78
Total Coupons: 12.00 Total Club Card Savings: 17.26
Total Savings: 29.26 (58%)

TOTAL AIRMILES FOR BOTH TRANSACTIONS: 200 just for the cereal promotion (18.00 OOP) (plus my sister got 100 airmiles for the same promo and gave them to me, thanks sis!)
So that means only 100 more to go before I can go to California for a vacay!
(some things are not in the pictures because they were either purchased for friends and family or DH ate them before I could get the pic…)

I totally forgot to mention that there is a $0.75 coupon on the Honey Bunches of Oats, and for every two Vector boxes I can send away for a free quick dry t-shirt (so I can get 5 in total...)! Thanks for reminding me
