Very disappointed in my fellow couponers

I just need to vent a moment. I live out in the country and don't get our local paper. Today was Red Plum day. Yeah!! NOT!! I went to 4 different convenience store to grab a paper and every paper had the coupon booklet gone. I couldn't believe it! Later this evening after work, I asked my girlfriend if I could have hers. She lives in a gated community. She called back saying she went through all 50 papers in the mailbox room and she found only one booklet in the the bottom paper. Again... Really.... Are people actually going through all the papers and taking these booklets???
Leave some for the rest of the world!! Who does that?!? I am extremely disappointed in people right now! I can't believe how greedy people are!!

That suxs. Sadly seems to be a growing trend considering the # of posts regarding this very thing today. Wonder if people are freaking out about the strike and the possibility of no coupons via the mail. Regardless it still isn't fair to the rest of us.

i've been reading alot of posts like this with similar stories.. some where people have actually stolen a large amount of papers for the inserts.. some where people have taken the insert out of a PURCHASED paper and left the paper behind.. it is very sad that couponing is coming down to doing shady things like this.. no one needs 100+ inserts! (though i'm sure some extreme couponer would disagree with me) i'm happy if i can find a couple of them!

Ahhg that is so unfair! The Red Plum flyer is supposed to come on Saturday, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's in the paper!!

If you cant find the flyer inserts anywhere, what if you try contacting Red Plum and seeing if they can send you one personally?

funny i received the paper with flyers went to get my moms and she didnt but all her neightbours did, but they dont want to share the coupons, i just asked for any they wouldnt use! BOOO!!!

But on the other hand, it isn't necessarily theft. Sometimes when they're putting the papers together, they don't get all the inserts into it, maybe some bits come too late, etc. Last Thursday I was very disappointed to find that my Sobeys and Supestore flyers weren't in the paper. Obviously no one stole them, they're not worth anything. They just didn't get into my paper.

I often find that the newspapers in the store don't have the coupon inserts that my newspaper subscription does too.

OMG! My coupons from my newspaper are missing too! I noticed it before, sometimes they aren't there!

We receive our red plum, smart source etc in our weekly flyers and mine was missing as well this week. I have to ask a friend for hers. not sure why because it has always been in there.

I too am rural and do not recieve coupon flyers--sometimes I buy the 'local' paper from a local convience store, but they rarely include the coupon (or any other) inserts. So I called the newspaper office about this. The policy is NOT to include the 'extras' in non home delivered papers and NOT to include them in rural home delivered paper because of the weight. Basically, these newspapers are entering into a deal with the companies paying to have their inserts included --and often not following through on their part of the bargain. The only way the 'coupon' company knows when an insert is not delivered is if you give them feedback! Start by contacting the newspaper office, then next the 'insert' company. I am still not getting these inserts, but at least I now know they are not being 'removed' --they are just not being included!

Hi: I ran into this Problem also, but I have feeling that some of the Places do not recieve inserts inside their Papers. Especially Local Papers. I may be wrong, I had tried a few of Variety Stores, Gas Stations, etc. I looked before I bought & was so anoyed. I finally found one in a Paper Box, LOL, I made sure it was in there before I took the Paper. Even though the box had my Money, I thought, if it wasn't at least I could Compain to someone "Give me the Coupons or I want my Money Back" ! LOL

I live in the country too and our newspapers don't even carry the coupons or inserts for people to remove!

i know it sucks, usually i have to dig through the paper's at the gas station just to find one with an insert, (If i want more inserts i buy another paper) DH found a paper with the insert for me yesterday I looked everywhere but couldn't find one at all.

I agree, there are specific areas only that get the P&G flyer, but if you received it before, then you should be getting it now. I can't believe that people would stoop so low as to do these kinds of things. It is becoming not cool anymore. I feel bad if I take more than 2 coupons off a tear pad anymore. 5 has always been my limit and only if it is something I use weekly. I have read of peole ripping open cereal boxes and taking the coupon off the box, opening diaper packages to get coupons books, tearing the bottom out of toilet paper packages to get coupons and other totally discusting things. What is happening to us???? Come on people we are not savages, we are human beings, please act like it!

I received 2 P&G inserts & 1 RP in my paid subscription this morning, didn't notice there was 2 until I actually pulled it out to read it (2 inserts stuck together)

I did go to the gas station up the street to purchase another but out of 30 papers NOT 1 had the inserts, went down the street further to a box and put in my $2 and still NOTHING in any of the papers (don't think anyone took them) I just don't understand why the limit where these inserts go

I think it is WRONG when someone does that, if you want to take all the inserts then PAY FOR EACH PAPER!!! Especially at retail stores, as for people who steal them out of the boxes PLEASE take the papers with you so someone doesn't come behind you and pay for a paper for nothing - although you still should not be taking more than 1 paper/insert
I guess if I really really want more I will just go for a recycle walk everyday next week, I'm pretty lucky to live in an area that has mostly older people that don't use them

Around here there aren't flyers in the store papers or paper boxes...only home delivery! So maybe yours is the same and nobody is stealing them?
