Yesterday I didn't feel well, so I wasn't on much, but man there was a lot of posts to read. I am getting very excited about this train. I haven't done one in awhile and so feel that this is a great way for a picker upper. I sent in my wishlist and now am waiting for my buddy. Any idea when we'll get the list? time?

1.) Do ya'll get Mother's Day presents(other than the ones your kids make at school?) ? Flowers? I don't have children, so no.
2.) Buddy do you any favourite Easter chocolates that I could pick up for you on the post Easter sales? no, trying hard to loose weight

It all depends on why all of the wishlists come in. I don't want to start sending them out before I have all of the wl's because some people might start to narrow down who their buddy is based on who has buddies

Moms/Aunts/Grandmas/Friends of Moms with boys....did you have (or have you seen) themes for a one year old boys birthday party? What was it? Some family members are saying I shouldn't bother with a theme cause he won't remember it/care (party poopers!!!) but I want to do something fun! I can't decide on a theme though and I want to start looking for stuff asap so ideas are welcomed as well.

We did a Peter Rabbit Theme for Zachary's 1st Birthday. His room was a peter-rabbit-themed room at the time

His 2nd Birthday was Mickey Mouse themed and his 3rd birthday was all about Monsters.

theme for a 1st . hm..
what about choosing the primary colors and using those as your these.. red/blue/green
or you could go with a popular toy.. lego. square cake with cut off cupcake bottoms on the top for the nobs. same colors too.
or make a truck theme. check out pinterest for ideas.. .. on second thought don't do that. you might not make it back here.. LOL

I didn't have a theme for the 1st, or 2nd really, but his third birthday was all about diggers. I'd do something like cars, construction, or go with one of the Disney things like Mickey Mouse.

Gez finally caught up again!

There is an AMAZING gelato place in Vancouver "La Casa Gelato" that has hundreds of flavours (218 at a time) and you can try as many as you want before you choose. If you are feeling brave they always have some interesting flavours (Blue Cheese, Curry, Garlic Vinegar, Wasabi, Maple Bacon, Pickle ) but I prefer the more "normal" ones like pumpkin pie, nutella or hedgehog!

mmmmmm....... Hedgehog ice cream, I want!

I haven't shopped at michaels for a long time so I don't know what I'd need. If you find stuff there on my WL, then yes please!



Me too! *Asian* :D Green tea ice cream is good my fav is red bean ice cream. If you eat at sushi places or Chinese buffets, green tea ice cream is always available.

All this talk of pennies....I am hoping you lovlies can help me...DH is turning 40 next year, and as part of his surprise 40 gifts in 40 days (yep lol I'm THAT girl!) I wanted to make something with 40 pennies from the year he was born (1974) Currently I have 36! Would any of you mind taking a peek in your change to see if you have one or two you could send my way? I will be very generous to those who can help!

Rounding isn't a "negotiation"...it is what it is. A math thing. And the gov't is following the rounding "rules" so if any retailer tries to argue with you, tell them to get stuffed...or go online and get with it. Plastic transactions aren't effected because there are no physical pennies involved.

I occassionally shop at Thyme too.... I HATE when they ask me how far along I am, but I guess that's the price I pay to get a shirt that fits right. (I have an abnormally long torso). I bought a plain black swimsuit there and I love it

Boarding closes, officially, tomorrow morning, but we are dangerously close to the full capacity of 40 riders, so it might close a little sooner----remember the sooner everyone gets their wishlists in, the sooner I can distribute them and we can stop shopping for our buddies!

Good morning lovelies! Woke up with a miserable headache and stuffy nose today so not sure if I will be on for long. Generally feeling blah Have physio at 11 and afterwards depending on how I feel have some laundry and cooking to tackle. It's gonna be a pasta day today for sure...lol! Need to work on my wishlist whenever this headache disappears.

Dont have a boy, but have seen lots of Elmo/Sesame street 1st birthday party decorations around & that could do boy or girl. I didn't have a theme for DD's first birthday. 2nd birthday was Elmo themed. 3rd will be Dora & Diego themed!
