DD is driving me up the wall today! I haven't sat down for more than 2 minutes today! It's like 21 questions times 8,000,000 or I want time 5,000,000. Plus we are on her 5th outfit of the day, sigh potty training, I'm not mad at her about this but exhausted. Finally distracted her with tv, sigh. I have just bore open the baileys, thanks bluzsuz

I am in my late 20s and realized I was in an adult relationship (hmmmmm when did that happen) was when we started to discussing our parents living with us if/when we got our own house and what type of house we would need to buy to accomidate this when the time came. For me it was kind of shocking as we are not living together, but at the same time at the time it was something we needed to think about. We agreed his dad and my mom would live with us, now it will just be my mom as his dad passed away.

I told my sister she got our dad and my step mom (her mom) she laughed at me and told me she tells them all the time she is putting them in a home. I just said well my house is full and the boys well we won't even go there.

Really made me see I was an adult. I remember when dating was wanna meet for coffee, what are we doing this weekend and worrying why they didn't want to make plans for the up coming weekend.

We both agreed HIS parents would never be living with us. Ever. They are nice people, but they are highly anxious (esp. MIL) and meddlesome people!!

At least if they are too short, you can say they're Capris... I believe my inseam is 28" so EVERYTHING I buy in pants has to be shortened.. I used to get away with wearing heels and it would be ok, but I think now they make pants even longer cuz even 4" heels still leave me dragging my pants!

It definitely a good conversation to have.

To be fair, I love my inlaws and should something happen to one of them, and the other wants to move in with us, we will happily take him/her in. We are in our early 30s, but DH's parents are 70 and 80 (he's the youngest of his siblings). Neither his sister or brother would be good candidates to take them in - his sister because of her husband (cuckoo!) and his brother is a bachelor and doesn't want to be tied down by a wife/gf, kids or parents! LOL

My dad is pretty healthy and it's more of a security thing having him around. We can watch out for him, he won't need to look after a large house anymore (my mom passed 17 years ago) and he'll be with my kids and be grandpa 24-7!! With him around, I could take up teaching during the day again.

My in laws live in the same house as us, in their own flat and I love them to death. They are older (in their 80's) and don't interfere very much at all but they always have extra sugar extra butter milk and whatever else we need! I could never live with my mom. She is a bit of a B.

Gez mine are "35 makes it so hard to find pants!

i could not live with my mum again ever as she drives me insane. Our relationship improved greatly once I moved out. She means well but she is one of those people that always wants to help people even when you don't need help. According to her hubby's job (contractor installing granite countertops) is not a real job. When he was working in racing (his true passion) that wasn't a real job either.

i am very happy that I don't live in the same city as my MIL, she can get on my nerves even during a short visit. My FIL, other MIL or dad would be ok to live with....

Don't get me wrong in the earlier post -my inlaws are great (most of the time anyway )....however.....a little bit of time with them goes a long way. Given they live in England we never expected to take them in. We are currently caregivers for my Grandfather (who already lives with us) and love him to bits -but it is exhausting being on call 24/7, 365. We've only recently found a nice balance to life, and it really feels like my inlaws are turning that upside down.

    buddy question.....
if you found $20 and had to spend it on yourself, what would you buy??

Love Vampire Diaries! Sad it was a repeat this week, but I watched Big Bang Theory and was laughing so much I heard "mommy what's that noise!" over the baby monitor. Which made me laugh more... poor kid couldn't sleep because mommy was making so much noise lol

How do you do the post count thingy? Where you see how much people are posting? Because I feel like I'm talking a lot lol

And Happy birthday KK7 and late to Bri! (did I get that right? hope so lol)
