The tag store by the new theatre on the east mountain is closing gonna check it out today i'll let you know if i find anything good

That store has only managed to be around 2 years and some months.

it might have done better if they sent out flyers/advertisements I am in walking distance and can only remember ever receiving one
also i stopped by they weren't open yet but the sign said up to 50% off i saw a jacket marked down to 54 thrugh the window, i'll keep watching and waiting for the 90% off or closer to it

I passed by and noticed the closing sale sign last week, but didn't have time to go in and then on my way back passing by, I forgot about it! :S I was thinking I was missing out on some deals and would have to make a trip back there to check it out! I am interested to hear about what deals, if any are there and if there is lots of stock left. Looking forward to hearing about it Anna Michele, thanks

I went in 20% off most things bathing suits were 22-25 before discount lots and lots of stock still

Ooo... must check this out. Im totally bummed that they are closing, I really liked that store- their home decor is really nice and loved the kid stuff too. They opened a new one in St.Catharines not too long ago, guess i'll have to make the trek out there after this one closes..

Anyone know when they are officially closing?

I asked the change room lady she said she didn't know???? That sucks for the workers the not knowing when they'll be out of a job

Employer will have to give sufficient notice ahead of store end date for workers or pay severance if staff are cut off in stages as store empties but remains open.

If past closing sales in malls and in former Zellers are indicators, count on sale going for 3-4 months. Depends how much merchandise sells?

I was in last week and most things were only 20% off. It was the first time I'd ever been in there. I didn't even know what that store sold until that day! They did have lots of nice stuff, so I will probably head back once I hear the discounts are higher.

Thanks for the update! I too saw this, had no time to go in and forgot. Will go back when discounts are higher. We have weekly lessons nearby once a week so I might be able to pop in before or after the kids lessons.

I went this past weekend and was not very impressed with the percentage of discount at this time. A few items were good prices, but I understand that they cannot sell things super cheap as they will likely (and be better off) selling all left over stock to a liquidator. I left with nothing as the few items that were well priced I didn't NEED and something I did need came in only a colour that didn't suit my tastes.

Went today. 40%-70% off. It is that in between phase of enough discount and not yet picked over. Mostly clothes. I received some good deals on children's wear. If you want to check it out now is the time...will be picked over very soon. I did get some good 70% off children's clothing. I broke my budget doing this, but not too badly. Will save $ in the long run!
