There was no fireball but there was a big shower of sparks and the fork of lightning was very well defined. It was scary and cool.

Hi Everyone Just dropped in to say Hi. I am a friend of Cassie (babygirl1). I told her I would help out with her stuff on here while she is laid up. I told her how she got such nice birthday Wishes from you guys and it brought a tear to her eye. Cassie had a fall on her birthday and ended up in hospital with concussion so didn't get to see all the cool reps you sent her. Not sure if there is a way for her to see the older reps. I hope she can get back on her feet soon. Cassie asked me to pass on her appreciation and when she gets a little better, Cassie will thank you her friends on here personally for all the emails and messages. Cassie enjoys the fun she has on here and likes the cool friends she has made on SC and talks a lot about her friends on here Well I will keep you posted on her progress. I will be dropping in to help her talk to you soon . ....Leslie

My son survived!! His 800m was the last one of the day and it was two hours late! He drank and drank and drank. Thanks for the well wishes and advice!

Hi all. Did manage to get 18 holes in this morning. Drank 2 litres of water & a few pints after.
A storm went through PTBO area around 4PM. Temps dropped from 32C to 22C. Good thing cause I was starting to wonder if keeping the A/C off was a mistake!

They just said on the news that last night's storm generated over 80,000 lightning strikes. It was some light show that's for sure.

We tried the dryer sheet trick on our dog last night when the storm was approaching. It had no effect whatsoever. She quivered and shivered for half an hour. Can't say I blame her, that was one of the wildest storms I've seen in this part of the world. We came close to heading for the basement for shelter when the winds started to make the siding on the house vibrate and buzz like an angry hornet.

Wow! What a beautiful day. Went out shopping with a buddy. Ended up on a patio that served beers. Primed for hockey!!!!
