Firstly, I am a university student and have been a part of this website for a while now (mostly looking at the "blog" section) I recently saw an episode of extreme couponing and it prompted me to explore the couponing threads on this website. I am absolutely amazed by the dedication, kindness and efforts my fellow smartcanucks show towards couponing. I also learned how easy it is to save money by couponing.

So I looked through the coupons and ordered the Cottonelle coupon and sure enough it came.

    Brag.
Went to WM to pick it up and surprisingly it was completely free. I then went to McDonald's for lunch and used a 50% off coupon for a Cesar salad that only cost me roughly $3.

so my cottonelle freebie was roughly $4 and my salad was almost $7 and altogether i only paid roughly $3 for $11 worth of stuff. It's amazing what a difference coupons can make. This is just the beginning of my coupon adventure.

Great!! You'll soon find it's really addictive and always fun! I've only been doing this a few weeks and already I am well and truly hooked.

Thank you for sharing and happy couponing!

That's awesome for a first time... I started because of Extreme Couponing as well, but mostly to try to cut down how much we spend buying stuff since having a baby is expensive in itself... So they way I see it, if I coupon then I have more money I can spend on my child for other things... It's addictive... I've started a small stockpile of a few things but nothing near as everyone else...

I'm sure it's great! My stockpile is really small right now and kind of scattered all over the house..lol I need to get more organised before we do much more of it.

Yea mine is scattered around the house too, just dont have a place where I can get everything in one spot... I'm hoping once we unpack everything (just bought a house) I can use one of the spare rooms as my stock room for everything... It's always great having things in case anything ever happens, its an investment more than anything...
