I'm confused- is it ROAK or RAOK? (Random Act of Kindness, right? Or do I have my acronyms mixed up?)
Also, how do you pronounce it? I pronounce it 'rock' as in, "YOU ROCK!".... or, alternatively, I guess you would pronounce it 'roak' like the sound a frog makes.
Clearly, I have too much time on my hands to think about this stuff. Back on topic- good job paying it forward, peeps! Nice to see some positivity for a change!

LOL, you are way to funny Merc, you can pronounce it any way you want, we don;t mind, LOL!!! I believe it is RAOK as in random act of kindness, the mind just want to type it the other way as ao in not 2 vowels we see together to often. Have a great one!

I saw a lady I know at the store buying a big purex. I gave her a coupon to get a small one free she was thrilled. I then scoped out her cart and gave her a couple of coupons for stuff she had in there. chatted a few minutes about coupons and she was off. ran into her at the cash and she was beaming with how much she saved!
A little goes a long way!

This thread is soooo nice to see! Even though I'm a newbie, I've managed to connect with another SC'er and my mission is to hunt down baby product coupons...I just sent off one envelope and I've got another ready to go! In return, I get back awesome surprises (like a $5 scrubbing bubbles! OMG I NEARLY CRIED!!). I'm not really picky about what i get, and frankly i don't really care if I get anything! Baby stuff is too darn expensive and moms need all the relief they can get!! No more wasted coupons here!!
Last week, I helped a woman SCOP at WalMart and she was so grateful it made my day! I also scaled a walmart shelf in the same visit for an elderly lady who just wanted some finish dishwasher tabs. I managed to get the last two for her and then gave her the coupons to go with them.
I leave coupons that I have extras of everywhere...and if there's someone who I won't think would take a coupon from me, I ask them while they are looking at the item "do you think it would be ok if I left this here? It's such a good deal I would hate for it to go to waste...somebody should be able to use it right?" They pretty much always say yes, so I leave it, and they take it when I'm out of sight. I know, i've checked
I love saving money. I love making other people lives better while I do it!
For the first time ever, i've been able to give nice big toiletry donations to the food bank!
I was able to give my two friends that just bought houses HUGE gift baskets of cleaning stuff and smelly stuff (all matchy match of course) as housewarming gifts and they were so excited because it's stuff people never think of buying themselves! They are set for months!! Who knew that cleaning stuff would make someone so happy!

I was able to do my first RAOK today...I went to Lawton's and there was an older man looking at the Old Spice stuff..He said "Wow...when I was your age you could get this stuff for alot cheaper than you can nowadays!" I quickly grabbed a few of my coupons out of my little folder and handed them to him saying "That's alright..I've got you covered!" I'll never forget the look of shock on his face, it made me feel soo good! I can't wait to get more coupons so I can do more RAOKs
You laugh at me because I coupon...I laugh with you because I totally have a coupon for what you just bought!!

I like it when I have some time to myself and I take a walk to RCSS and WM. I walk slowly up and down the aisles and I look...in other peoples carts to see what I can give them a coupon for!... lol last week I gave away the tuna coupons and Ray's BBQ sauce. Sometimes in the check out lines, if I see something I have to offer the person behind me...I hate to say it but if I get a vibe that they will react badly to getting or using a coupon, I don't offer. But I think its fun to be a coupon fairy-type person...lol...makes me feel good.

I love these threads!! Today I had a freind(also an sc'er) come over to do some trading. I picked out a few of her coupons that I could use and gave her back more than double $$amount back!! She is just starting out. and is lovong it so far. As going though my binder we found alot of my baby coupons were just expired.
So the posting about the military oversea's can they use these types of coupons?? I've love to send them as there was alot!! I just check and i had $57.00 in expired baby coupons
I love helping out others when i can. As there are many people that have helped me out when i needed it the most!!
Have a great night everyone!!
