Nice huh Folks. I got this email this morning. They are getting too smart for their own pants! One day only, and spend $80.00??? You must be Rob Ford and smoking crack ...
1 Day Only! Get 20,000 pts. for every $80 you spend.*
Load this offer now
* For every $80 you spend before taxes and after all other coupons, discounts, and/or points redemptions, in a single transaction at any participating store location (excludes purchases of tobacco, alcohol products, prescriptions, gift cards, lottery tickets, all third party operations (post office, gas bars, dry cleaners, etc.) and any other products which are provincially regulated) you'll earn 20,000 points. Offer must be used in one transaction during the offer effective date. Offer expires 11:59PM EST on Thursday, November 7, 2013.
Yup - I received an email about it this evening around 6 PM.
Obviously I couldn't take advantage of it.
a) too much money
b) too little time.
It was an insult actually and I am never one to complain.
You mean when you checked your email at 7 p.m. you don't want to drop everything and run to Loblaws to spend a lot of money ($80) to get bonus points when the store closes in 2 hours?
I did…NOT
The offer is a good idea, but the terms around it are the worst ever
What a dumb idea on their part
I totally agree with you and I decided I'm shopping elsewhere this week.
There was a new offer similar to yesterday's when I loaded my points this morning but it's 6000 pts wus $40 which is still decent imo. Problem is I am not shopping here this week as I need to PM many items and my local RCSS won't PM offer like 2/$5 without a single price listed in the flyer!
Checked my offers today. Bonus points for buy Club packs of certain items
It's just me and DH. I've never bought a club pack in my life, what makes them think I'm going to start now?
5 no name offers
1 presidents choice offer
3 veggie
1 hair dye - i don't dye my hair.
*and others
So we'll see what happens with shopping at Loblaws this week haha
More cat food offers for my non-existent cat! Perfect, just wanted I was hoping for.
Last week I had an offer for x amount of points (can't remember what amount) if I spent $20 on health and beauty products that expired November 14. It's no longer on my list of bonus offers or whatever that side bar is called. I was planning on using that this week. Guess I won't be.
My offers are pretty useless as well.
Pudding = don't like it
certain brand of pizza = don't like it
certain brand of water = don't like it
certain brand of juice = don't like it
see a theme?
I'm guessing it sees which products you actually buy, then gives you offers for competitors.
PC, you said this is based on offers for products I actually buy. I don't buy these.
Still not impressed.
The last few weeks of offers haven't interested me much but the offers I just received are great, at least 3 offers I would use. I just hope I can get my card next week so I can take advantage.
Got a copy of the PC Insider's Report
On page 2,bottom of the pageThey seem to be offering PC Plus at all the other stores.Quote:
The PC Plus program is not available at freshmart and nofrills
I got pull ups. I am 48 with a 15 and 19 year old. Explain that :)
Since I used to work there, I can share. The way it works is this- 3-4 things you buy (provided they have enough purchase history), 3-4 "stretch" items (upsell), and 3-4 new category items. It is ok if you shop there anyways. The best deals are the buy $80 get 20k points.
If it doesn't match it is usually because you didn't buy enough yet or their algorithm is messed up.
Where on the website can I get my points added, and what information from my receipt do I need to give them to get the points?
Fortino's flyer has no mention yet of the program. Am expecting the November 16 one to spill the PC Plus program expansion news. Program website still shows GTA only stores for a Hamilton postal code.
Have to find that PC Insider's Report-is it just released for the Xmas holiday season?
I'm still getting a pile of offers after 2 months of signing in some time good too but still never enter in any Loblaws. Now will see how long they keep sending me. Will use my plus card when they will start this program in Nofrill. Lol
That's curious, uanoor-you get offers but have not gone into the Loblaws stores yet. While SCers who do go into the stores get mixed to no offers. Hmm.
