The limits were on price

When you get the card in store - is it active as soon as you get it, or do you have to register it online first?
I am doing a shop tomorrow for no tax day.
Hubby got points right away, they scanned the card as soon as they gave it to him. However, there were no key fob things with the card(how do you get those??)and I got the "just this once, you need your own card"when I went back this evening to pick up a few things.I've emailed them for clarification,as I thought that was allowed. The register screen read Hi Jimbob,so I guess it's a dead giveaway, lol.
It is not a limit of 2 per transaction, the poster did that to keep her out of pocket costs down (spend as little as possible, get enough points for a $20 redemption and start again)
I tried to do this but my PC plus is linked on my PC card, the points didn't show up. When I checked online, it says if you use a PC financial card the points will take a few days to show. I'll bear with it for now as I don't have time to call, busy weekend.

I signed up weeks ago online with no card but they gave me an account number anyways. I had to get a new card yesterday and link my PC MC and the online Plus account to the Plus card. I like how you can customize multiple accounts and cards online for collecting and/or redeeming.
i did it through my debit card, and my debit card also acts as my points card.
note to all: just make sure the cashier swipes your financial card/pcplus card during the transaction before you pay, so that all the points offers are activated. when you go to pay, it is too late to activate all the points on that transaction. learned that the hard way!
Please explain how you use multiple accounts because i am intrigued! :)
You may have a problem. If the cashier did not know you were PCPlus (and told the computer) you might not have got the points. My PCPlus membership is tied in with my PC financial card and when I went to customer service (my bonus points did not register) they had to redo the entire transaction. The computer does not automatically link you, the cashier has to do it.
Maybe cause I haven't had my coffee yet or maybe it's because I'm blonde but I'm a tad confused:lol:. So DH has a PC MC and I registered his card for him. Now I have a supplementary card in my name so can I register MY card # and then the points just go to his account? and can I just get the point card so I don't have to make a CC purchase? I try not to use my CC too much and sometimes would rather pay with cash. Is that possible?
@Tommycoupons - Just on the phone with the PcPlus guys. Waited about 5-10 minutes on hold. They can only adjust 15k at once and will add remainder after 2-3 days. They were telling me the quantum and pizza are only 5k max bonus points (whether I buy 1 or 10). CSR guy on the phone didn't really sound like he knew what was going on either. He had issues getting the points to show up on my account. What a headache. He is going to investigate it for me. If I don't get it I'll be choked. I can return the Quantum but not the pizza.
EDIT - Just looked at the call log on my phone and that call took 41minutes. Sheesh no wonder their lines were so swamped.
I just bought 35 palmolive ($1.88 PM with No Frills) and 10 quantums, got all the points and no tax, made money.
Do you have to ask for the key tag separately? I got the card today. I thought the key tag would come with the card.
Went again today. First time cashier somehow screwed it up and had to refund and repurchase everything. Next time went to self checkout and redeemed pcplus points and get a message to wait for attendant. She comes over and says you can't redeem points yet and I say yes you can and why is there a button for it to? She tells me to try again and same message, she probably had to scan my card or something. Just ended up using my pcf bank card to redeem and I swiped it no problem. New program I understand but they gotta teach their employees about it. Since out west there is no no-tax event I will wait until next week to hit it again to let them work out kinks

Yes, all on one receipt. I was there (SW Ontario Store) at 7 am, and had a nice cashier all to my self. We tried three Palmolive (PM at 1.88 with No Frills) as a trial as I hadn't tested my PC Financial card and got 7500 points. I asked several times if there was a limit. You can see the points on their screen as soon as the total comes up. All toll, today I made 260,000 points!! The woman at the till asked me if I was going to put the Palmolive and Finish in my will!! I am actually going to donate a bunch of it. I doubt if this type of point making will happen for long, they will likely start limiting quantities, like has already happened in some other provinces.
I don't shop a whole lot at Superstore, think I'll hold off on getting the points card until they iron out the kinks.
Found Buitoni pizza for $3.99 in the flavour Margheri (all the other flavours were $4.49) minus my 10% colleague discount, plus the 5000 points. So I made $1.40 in on the pizza! I also picked up the dish soap. Love this program!
Bought 28 pizza at Superstore today.. the most was 10 in one transaction! I found the chicken on sale for $3.99 - no limit. $22 out of pocket total.. 28 pizza in the freezer.. and $50 (50000) points in my account. Not bad!\
Ron.
I picked up the card today, too (finally rolled out in my city!) and the key tags were attached to the card. There were two key tags - both dark blue (blueberry image behind the PCPlus logo). The card was in a cardboard folder - maybe your key tags are still in there?
you don't have to get the PC Plus card if you already have a PC bank card or PC credit card...wow everyone is getting so many points good for you, I still have so much dish soap and dishwasher detergent for the next life (in my old stockpile)...that I can't even fathom buying more even if it is a money maker..LOL
Can't wait until it the program is in my area. I do not need another credit card but a points card might make me want to shop there!
I went into Fortino's Ancaster to get the Decadent soda (100pts) along with other items. My card did not scan so cashier had to type in the number. Noticed my name did come up on the cashier's screen.
Store had a table display near entrance with PC Plus cards promoting the program launch.
That's alarming-we didn't get one and I'm waiting for a reply from customer service as to why. When I went online to register it said here was a key fob linked to the account.I reset the account so the key fob couldn't redeem points only earn them.I think there's serious potential for fraud in that mixup.:(
All sold out at my RCSS :(
