Click this link to find out if your item will be worth 1, 2 or 3 stars:
http://food.guidingstars.ca/
Your can type in the food in the SEARCH bar and then click under the Guiding Stars heading and click on 3, 2 or 1 stars and it will show you the corresponding products under those stars.
Kraft Dinner is a 1-star food ;)

...however Kellogg's Krave Double Chocolate cereal is a healthier 2-star option

Do you have to buy a starred item to get just the 1000 points?
Silk
@Silk , if you have loaded your guiding stars offer, you will be eligible for the 1000 points when you swipe your PC plus card at the check out.
If you don't want to spend a lot, just buy a few grapes (3 stars?) and you will get the points for grapes and the 1000 points on top.
This is a good week for me 5 of my offers are produce. Other than raspberries all are on sale some where so I can PM at Superstore
So if I do all my shopping today i'll get 1000 points on something that has 1 or more stars plu 25, 50 or 100 points on starred items. I think I like this!

No you can buy any thing because today I used my daughter card and bought glade candles and got the points
How a sugar loaded cereal gets 2 stars is beyond me. It shows how messed up their guiding stars program is. Many fresh fruits and vegetables don't have any stars at all attached to them. When I check my guiding stars profile to see how my last shop was, I am always surprised that many of the fresh fruits and vegetables I buy don't get included at all.
I bought a 3 star can of diced tomatoes for 98 c, but didn't get any points for that or signing up. I put in a points inquiry, hopefully that works.
Is it supposed to appear in the PC Plus app if the Guiding Stars offer is loaded? The website tells me it's loaded but I don't see it in my app. Thank you!
