Wanted/Needed to jump in here -
1. Incorrect - while 1800, FTD and Teleflora are in fact wire services, Bloomex is not - they have their own production facilities across Canada - they are located in all major cities and are able to provide Same Day delivery to over 85% of Canada's population (according to their website).
2. Sorry wrong again, shop and compare - 500%??? Really - you lose creditability with exaggeration.
3. Again, wrong - where do you get your information?
4. Wrong, again, as far as I know that is only the policy of 1800 - FTD, does offer a resend, but no refund, same goes for Proflowers and Teleflora. Clearly you just have to read the original post to see Bloomex doesn't not arbitrarily refund and resend.
I smell a Florist.
[QUOTE=SmartConsumer;5434559]Just some facts about online flower dealers
1. Bloomex and other websites(1-800-Flowers, Teleflora, FTD, Proflowers, etc) are just an intermediary that connects you to a florist
2. Every single one of these websites is overpriced, some as much as 500%.
3. These websites rarely, if ever, do quality control checks on florists(or people who claim to be florists).
4. The pictures of arrangements shown are almost always the premium version, while most people only buy the regular version.
5. If you complain, almost every website will send out a replacement arrangement and credit you the full amount you paid.
Here are some comparison pictures of advertised vs. received.

Beware of Bloomex Canada’s business model as this company is in the business of deceiving. This is how it works. They provide a list of bouquet to choose from online. After paying the hefty price for this bouquet they send your order to a local flower shop near the delivery address. They then leave it up to this local shop to put together a bouquet and deliver it to the specified address. The local shop will decide on your behalf your taste in flowers and what is a fair value for the amount you paid online. In other words expect a bouquet that looks nothing like the bouquet that you chose online and suffer the consequences.
Bloomex Canada states under the product on their website that the actual bouquet will vary from photo especially if the product is offered at %50 off. I think this is totally expected as we are dealing with natural flowers and it is impossible to make the bouquet look exactly like the one in the photo. However they don’t mention that the actual bouquet will be totally different in look, theme, style, quality, type and color. Also they don’t mention that it will be up to them to decide what a good value is for the money you spent to buy the product. Also they don’t mention that they will put together whatever cheap flowers they have at their disposal to make a bouquet with some cheap style and deliver it with your name on it. Any customer can make the assumption that the delivered bouquet will vary from photo, however the customer still expect a bouquet that resembles by far the photo on the website, right? I think this is very deceiving, what do you think?
