Just another idea - the Ukrainian Heritage Village is just a short drive east of the city, and it's an amazing experience

I love the Muttart Conservatory as well.
I've never been, but the Science Centre is supposed to be amazing, and they have special programs running - there's a robotics lab as well.

End of July is also K-Days (used to be Klondike Days) and Taste of Edmonton

I'd considering buying the Entertainment book for Edmonton. They have sales on them frequently, www.entertainment.com and the coupons are good until Nov. 1. There are BOGO's for admission to WEM attractions, plus other things. Yesterday the books were on sale for $11 apiece. They'll probably be on sale for around $10 to $15 again soon. There are lots of food coupons in it too, and some of the fast food coupons are good Alberta wide.
