I know you guys are most likely so sick of all these questions, but i could really use some clarification!
I live in Ontario, and i know that we cant stack here! But....
I went to Independent the other day in hopes of buying 2 bottles of the sweet baby ray's bbq sauce. Using two coupons, one for 2$ off, and the other was a B1G1. As far as i understood i would be able to do that since i had two coupons for two products. The cashier and manager seemed to think otherwise. They told me i was not allowed to stack. When i tried to explain that one coupon was for item number one, and the other was for item number two they both still said that the coupons could not be used at the same time.
Can someone tell me if what i was doing was wrong or not?? i would like to have a handle on it before i try it again!!
I could go without making myself out to be a total fool again!!

Dont feel bad. That will happen many times as you will find each store and ultimately each cashier can sometimes do things differently. Just try it. If it works great, if it doesnt, oh well. A bonus stack is always welcome but unless your at LD I would not anticipate one.

I live in ontario as well, and my independent grocer told me the same thing...they don't treat the free product as a "purchase" therefore you would be applying both coupons to the same item, essentially getting the two dollars off and then also getting the BOGO, which would essentially be stacking.
Which stinks. Walmart said the same thing, FYI. Boo Ontario, you anti-stackers.

there are a lot of people that do not consider that stacking and the call it grouping coupons, but from the stores point of view it is stacking...most stores will not allow u to use a coupon on the item that u are getting free....if u use a BOGO coupon (Buy One Get One) u can only use the one, if u also wanna use your $2 off coupon u must purchase one more item
also any time a coupon is asking for more then one item to be purchased to get something off or one free u most likely will not be allowed to use a second coupon for thous item...u will have to purchase additional items...e.i. if u have a coupon for Buy 2 canada dry 12 can and get a canada dry rasperry free and u also have 2 coupons for $2 off any 10 or 12 canada dry...u will have to get 2 canada dry 12 can, 1 canada dry 10 can rasberry and your choice of 10 or 12 can canada dry ...if u wanna use all the coupons
I am in Ontario as well (GTA) and have not yet came across a store that will allow stacking unless it is it happens due to the mistake of a cashier.
hopes this clarifies the issue of stacking...

I live in Ontario, and I've done something similar at my local walmart many times, and never had a problem. I suggest if you can that you try it there - and look for a young cashier if you can - they're generally MUCH better at letting coupons through then the older ones.

I disagree... this would be the same as using the b2g2 for the ziplocs and then also using the 3.00 off the clubhouse marinade.... And we all have done that at the same time.
First 2.00 off coupon would be for bottle #1. Your second coupon would be for the free one (the only requirement is to buy one, which you would have done). They still have to ring in the item to give it to you for free. Doesnt matter if they dont want to consider a freebie a purchase, it is anyway (unless they are not ringing it in)

would be nice to be able to stack here too...however I would love the Double/Triple coupon days even more

the coupon requires u to buy one to get one free...so u must buy one to get the coupon used...therefore the BOGO is on the first item...if u tell them the $ off is on the second one (which is free) then that would be overage and other then WM no other store I know here offers overage...and WM has a clear policy on not allowing a coupon to be used on the free item
sorry but every time this conversation came up every store manager explained it the same way....as much as I may not like it this is how the retailer see it

Nope, nowhere in north bay that does that as far as I know, always 1 coupon per purchase, I haven't tried using a coupon zone coupon and manufacter's coupon yet at independant or no frills but i'll try it soon and let you know if it works lol

You can use a manufacturer's coupon and a Rexall coupon on the same product at Rexall though....

I live in ONtario GTA and i've done this at wal mart at sheppard and kennedy and at wal mart superstore warden and eglington. Save x and a BOGO coupon. Cleared it with CS first too. Condition of the coupon is that you buy one, it doesnt state for how much or that it can't be discounted. As long as the coupon doesn't say cannot be combined with other offers i think it should be allowed (unfortunately most stores don't care what i think lol). Going to try it at my superstore (fingers crossed) i have rainchecks for baby rays @ 1.99 that i need to use.
