Hi everyone!!!!
I recently bought a 2013 Kia Optima LX [base] end of December of 2012. It comes with all the options I wanted like fogs, 6 speakers stereo, power dr seat, bluetooth, etc. except for sun/moonroof. I bought the car $24,900 all in with rustproofing, winter mats and a couple things more [I forgot].
So after 4 months and 5,400 km of ownership I want to upgrade to the same car but sun/moonroof option.
I just came back from the dealership and the salesman offered me is my car plus $10,200.
So before I head out and do it, what does everyone think??
Waste of money?
I was planning to buy a home within a year but then I was thinking that i'll postpone it and upgrade my car first.
Thanks,

For the sake of a moon roof, your old car essentially cost you $2500/month for the time you owned it. Yikes!

Nope.
You need to stop this.
Seriously.
Keep the car, find a nice apartment to rent, and be happy as things are!
Any thoughts to doing something different would be if you were picking up cheap-o cars, getting parts inexpensively, doing labour with friends and family, etc. - that's the kind of thing my son and a big whack of his friends are into - then they get the power they want, options, stereos, and all the goodies for their vehicles.

good lord, win... why don't you just go to enterprise and that way you can have a different car every week?

Personally I would rather have a house than a car. I don't think an extra 10K for a moon roof is reasonable. However, it's your money, you should spend it as you wish.

aw poor winstar, some young guys love their wheels. Well whatever you do decide to spend your money on, you certainly have worked long hard hours at 2 jobs for some time, so that should be the deciding factor. Ask yourself is it really worth trading in all those racked up labour intensive hours on something that a total stranger could bump or crash into the next day? We love ya winstar!! lol

Personally I would keep the car you have and put the $10,000 towards a house, condo, apartment or savings. However it's your money to spend the way you wish.
