Dollarama Nanaimo or Vancouver Island

Has anyone tried to use coupons at Dollarama on the island yet? I have been reading that they have started accepting coupons back east. I will go check it out tomorrow if no one else has tried yet.

I asked a cashier yesterday - she said no.
I will look for a store manager next time I go in and have that confirmed.
It would be crazy silly awesome if they started accepting coupons.... !

I asked today as well and the cashier was kind of shocked, but said not that she knew of! It would make sense for them to though. They will get fully reimbursed the value, it may even be more than what they are selling it for in the store!

I emailed them last week but I haven't been able to get to the store to try it. This is the response I got.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We do accept manufacturer’s coupons – provided that these coupons are directly from the manufacturers and that we sell products that are subject to these coupons.
Furthermore, there could be exceptions to this principle in regards to some specific products.

I have seen comments on other threads and it sounds like in the next few weeks they will be creating a coupon policy for all their stores.

Asked again in Nanaimo today and got a no. So I called later and talked to the manager who said no also. I then told her that I was under the impression that coupons were now accepted at all Dollarama starting July 1st according to head office. She then said she would speak with her regional manager! That's where we are at in Nanaimo everyone!

I talked to the manager in CR. It is still a no here but she expects that to change to a yes in the near future. She was irritated that I was told yes by head office before she was I left the email with her and she said she would phone me when the coupon policy is in place.
