Don't know what to get! At first I wanted the canon rebel camera but i am looking in the shoppers flyer at this Canon SX500 IS now.
I am sort of wondering if there is a big difference or not between the 2 or not. Thinking maybe the rebel is just more expensive because it is popular? Might just be making excuses not to spend more money on one, lol.
Anybody have experience with either of the 2 cameras? This thread is currently associated with: Shoppers Drug Marthttps://legerweb.com/VADJC Join Leger Web And Start Earning Today =)

I don't on those, but best thing to do is start googling reviews. I always go to cnet and amazon dot com - ignore the price points, but cnet especially always gives both the bad and good.

There is a HUGE difference. One is a point and shoot while the other is an SLR.

They're totally different cameras and it depends on what you need it for/what you want from your camera.
http://www.dpreview.com/products/compare/cameras will help you out as I'm not sure which Rebel you're eyeing.
Keep in mind that the SX500 does not have a lens mount and is not an SLR camera (single lens reflex)!
I have a Canon T3i and previously a T1i, couldn't be happier!
