This is a delayed brag from last week that I never got around to posting right away!
I usually buy organic meat, which is obviously much more expensive. So I am always happy when I find it stickered at Loblaws, which is what happened last week.
So I was able to stock up on local (Quebec) organic chicken at a discounted price, I love it!
And a couple other deals at the same time.
The important thing when buying the pink stickered meat (expiring the same day or next day), take care of it as soon as you get home! Individually wrap in (free) glad wrap and then put in (free) ziplock bags into the freezer! Best way to save money on meat
7 x chicken breasts, reg 5.61, 6.17, 6.39, 6.95, 7.61, 8.34, 8.78 (49.85 total) - 30% stickers = 3.93, 4.32, 4.47, 4.86, 5.33, 5.84, 6.15 (34.90 total)
1x L'Oreal mousse, reg 6.99, clearance 5.49 - 50% sticker = 2.74 - $2.00 coupon = 0.74
1x RW Knudsen spritzers, reg 3.99 - 50% sticker = 1.99
3 x Ristorante pizzas, reg 6.99, sale 3.33 - 3x $2.00 coupons = 1.33 each
1x Pannabello pizza, reg 6.99, sale 3.33 , no coupon
1x angus burgers (4), reg 7.49 - 30% sticker = 5.24
Total at regular price = 97.82
Total paid = 50.86This thread is currently associated with: LoblawsJoin Swagbucks to earn free gift cards! Join Swagbucks!

Glad that you have had luck with pink stickered meat. I have done it before and came home with it right away and threw it in the freezer but it was bad. I will not do it again.

Yeah I had some great finds that day! It definitely is harder saving money buying organic food, but it can be done!
Awesome, I always look for the stickers too!
Aw that's too bad. I almost always buy my meat with pink stickers and have yet to have a problem. Maybe it depends on the quality of the store, I would try again at another store, and check the meat in the store to make sure it still looks good.Join Swagbucks to earn free gift cards! I do the same thing when it comes to packaging meat (usually ground beef and chicken) for the freezer. It saves me so much time and money in the long run. I package each ziplock to how much my family would eat at a normal dinner.

I always buy pink sticker meat at SW. exactly on the 7 days before best before date is goes 30% off, then on the 5 day it goes 50% off
thats when I swoop in. I have never had bad meat. My freezer is full of chicken, turkey, brats and sausages, ground beef, steaks, pork and so on, all at 50%
I LOVE PINK STICKERS
We all need a little sunshine every now and then
