Good morning SCers!
My husband and I recently started cash budgeting and I'm looking for ways I can save on groceries. Eating fresh, organic food is very important to us so produce makes up most of our diet. Because of that, I haven't been able to find a lot of resources online that would enable be to quickly know where I can get the best deals. Most commonly
I'm not sure if such a thing exists, but I'd like an iPhone app that allows me to input the price of ingredients from a variety of locally owned produce stores and farmer's market. For example, we juice a lot so I buy about 2-3 bunches of organic kale every week. It's $4 a bunch at my regular store, so I'd like to be able to be able to go to other stores and record the prices. That would then allow me to have a list of items we buy regularly and where I should buy them to maximise my dollars.
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, please share! TIAThis thread is currently associated with: Apple

Sorry I don't have an app for ya.
However there is a thread that includes fruits and veggies.

See post#84, ExtraC.
About buying only organic, someone said that if there is a thick skin on the fruit or veggie, you don't need to buy organic since the pesticide would not penetrate
Hope this helps.
