Hi all,
small rant. my sister came over and I showed her my stockpile. not huge, but still pretty big compared to the norm. She called me a hoarder (with a smile on her face) and then started taking stuff on my shelves and said "i know where I am going for now on to get my stuff" .... i said "no your not." mainly b/c i was a little peaved at her attitude ... and she said .. "why does it matter if it only cost you 30 cents" .. i told her it didnt .... but that i had alot of coupons for her and that she could coupon with me .... blah blah blah ....
i would love for her to coupon with me ..... oh well ....This thread is currently associated with: N/A

How irritating.
I hid my stash of cat food from a neighbour as she keeps borrowing some for her cat. I lied for awhile saying I had none and one day she dropped by for some reason or another and saw the stash and sure enough the calls started up again.

What an ass! She must've seen extreme couponing on tv and thinks everyone who coupons gets addicted like that.
Also... this is my 100th post! w00000000000t!

maybe she will come around and start couponing with you.

its not about how little you spent on an item.. its about the effort and the love you poured into collecting, keeping, folding the coupons into the right size that will fit your coupon binder, taking care of them like your babies that counts a lot! :D

How Rude!!
I would be very iritated with anyone who would try to do this. I don't mind picking up a few things for others, and have, but they pay me for them, and it isn't often.

Not nice! I have people poke fun at me all the time but I don't care. They can pay full price if they want!

Funny how people don't mind when you give them an FPC or two,
yet 'heaven forbid' they use a coupon for 'cents off' because 'only
poor people use coupons'.
THE NERVE !!!!!

Never met a dog or coupon I didn't like.

I know how you feel. My husband tells me I should give some of my stash away to family. Yah right! I should do all the work getting the stuff at the best price, and then just give it away? I don't think so! I told him "Why should I bother couponing, then, if I'm just going to give it away?" I don't think they realize how much time and energy goes into getting a stash. I say give them some coupons and advice to start, and let them get their own stash and see how easy it is!

When one of my sons saw my stash, he said I was those hoarders on tv... I was livid, why because he sure didnt' mind taking some home with him, ( doesnt' have much money most times) Then he was home for a few days and watched extreme coupons lol,,,, He sure changed his mind and even said I'm sorry... Now he and his g/f uses coupons as well.. Both the g/f mother and I make sure they get enough coupons for what they need...

I understand how that feels. I have two storage shelves in the basement that are perfectly organized. My fiance's computer is down there so sometimes when his brother and sister-in-law come over they're downstairs. His brother doesn't say anything really, just says I have my own store, but she just thinks it's ridiculous that I stockpile stuff. They have no trouble taking a bottle of sauce or anything though.

I have 2 sisters like that. I Try not to show my stash to anyone, Its my hard work to get it that low of a cost, they can do it too. I don't mind sharing with deserving people like my 90 year old grandmother or other couponers. People that actually understand how much work it takes

I would be upset too. All your hard work and for her to say that and treat it like she can take what she wants. Maybe you would have offered some to her if she didn't act the way she did. But now I wouldn't give any to her for sure lol not even the coupons.

People tend to forget that it is our "pioneer nature", that makes us want to have our homes prepared for the long winter. Stocking-up and couponing helps us to do it. That is why some of us really like to do this. It is also our gathering instinct. Go for it and enjoy.
