Not sure if this is the right section to post but...
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend me a good ice cream maker. It seems like it would be a fun / different thing for me to start doing - even with those $5 ice cream coups floating around
I'm going to order it off Amazon.ca with my points so I'm not sure if they have pretty much every brand or whatever.
Thank youThis thread is currently associated with: Amazon.ca & Amazon.com

I don't own it but my sister (total ice cream freak) has this one she got for her birthday and she really loves it. It works great, is easy and is a lot of fun to use. It might be the same one as PP has..

I have the Cuisinart, but found that buying the items to makethe ice cream (for a family of 6) was waay more expensive than just buying ice cream!
We do pull it out for fun occasions though! I also have to say that even though it ends up being quite expensive, our home made ise cream is faaar better tasting than store bought!

Do you already own a KitchenAid mixer? If you do,the ice-cream maker attachment is wonderful. I use it often and almost never buy commercial icecream anymore

We bought this one for my father-in-law and it works great. Keep in mind that the ingredients can be expensive and you can only make one small batch at a time. But it is fun and delicious!

I have the cuisinart with two canisters! I've had it for years and it still works great, I always keep the canisters in the freezer so we can make ice cream whenever we want!! I mostly make fruit sorbets when stuff is in season, real ice cream is a lot more complicated when you're doing it with kids!!

Hi, I just got a Cuisinart from Amazon, and it works great!!!!!! You know if you ever read the boxes of the cheaper ice cream it's full of fillers and additives, even wheat. So I figure paying out more money is okay, because it's free of additives and I see what is going into the product!! Go with the Cuisinart!
