    So my partner and I made a commitment to house sit for my grandparents for 2 weeks so they could do a road trip across Canada to see family. My grandparents left us $100 for 2 weeks worth of groceries and they weren't sure if that was going to be enough, but I assured them we would make do with what they gave us. (Was NOT going to complain that we had our food paid for). My partner just looked to me with a nervous grin, but I told her I would make this work. I brought along my coupons and got to work.

    So, after mass amounts of flyer shopping, we ended up at Safeway and Walmart. Including the FPCs we had, along with matching coupons with sales we spent a total of:

    $94!

    And we bought:

    $170 worth of food and TP! (Purex 15 dbl rolls: $5.49 from $12.49 - $1.00 save.ca coup = $4.49 Safeway)!

    So we saved $76 that trip. Not too shabby. I guess the moral of this story is we had a budget of $100, and we managed to stay beneath that and still get almost twice the amount in food and TP with coupons, and we definitely have enough to last us 2 weeks!

    I think I'm getting the hang of this ! (And maybe a little too comfortable with this lovely lifestyle)
