Just a recap on the weekends boat mishap. the two bodies have both been recovered form the lake one was found Sun about 100 metres from where the crash occured and the other was found across the lake by someone on shore and called it in on a cell phone. Sad day for those families but its nice that they can at least put them to rest and not be worried that they will never find them. The one family lives a few doors down from the guy i travel to work with and the other boat that hit them is also right beside another guy I work with. Small community small world.

You can customize your pizza, it is really that easy,
Some people like pizza on the meaty side,
& some like tomatoes that are sun dried,
Some like peppers & some people like ham,
& I guess there are even some who like it with spam,
Some people like onions & a crispy crust,
& throw on extra garlic if you feel you must,
Pineapple, mushrooms, anchovies, salami,
It's your very own pizza, so add some pastrami,
I never thought pizza could be comfort food,
But I must say that I'm in a pizza kind of mood!

Lily's a bit of a smart aleck. She's been known to happily take a pill from my hands, strip the coating off, & spit out the rest. Oh & she also used to hide the pills, so I wouldn't know she hadn't swallowed them (have I mentioned that I'm the one with the lowest IQ).

& she knows all the tricks. Putting a pill at the back of her throat works, but only if I put some peanut butter on the roof of her mouth. Apparently, trying to cough up the pill and lick the pb can't be done together. It's the only time she can't seem to multitask.

When my dog needed to take med's ,,, I used the PB trick,,it worked well. Peanut Butter seems to be popular and that is definatley next. Thanks.

a treat that you can put the pill in.
guessing you have tried austin's regular favourites,

My next trip to the pet store is to pick up a bag of them. Wallie had a picture of Greenies and I am going to try that too. Especially before we go up north. It is getting harder as days go and this is only day 3. Thanks MC

if your trying to give your dog pills .. I always put pill back far in mouth then hold mouth closed gently and rub throat .. that makes them swallow it. watched a vet do it. to my Shepard

Oh I did not know about rubbing the throat. I could get it in the back of his throat but he kept working it out. Thanks Mizzsazzyazz. Will definately try again.

Thanks so much again! I have to report the cheese is out. He worked it out of the wrap job I did then he discarded the whole thing, I think just out of spite. I have got 7 more days to outsmart a dog. I am up for the challenge, I can be just as stubborn.

your dog sounds like my cat. there is no way, no how that a pill is going down her throat. i have tried everything including the pill pockets. i don't have a problem with my other cats just this one. i can do the stuff down the throat & rub, but somehow she manages to spit back up & slimy, foamy pill. i have found with her, injections work better. she'll stay still for those & even remind me to give them to her. good luck the rest of the week.
