I have started making coupon purses to sell. They are $20, come with scissors for on the spot clippings, a pad of paper, a pen and a calculator (all things I find very handy). Inside each purse is a coupon organizer (built into lining). This way, you can put in your coupons, have them organized and no one can tell what you are doing. I organize the coupon purse by store category. I attached a pictures of two I have for sale. I am in the process of making more. PM me if you are interested. I like them cuz they are discreet.

Ah yes...mvandekuyt...the inspiration for it all! When she told me she was looking at coupon purses, I nearly died. COUPON PURSES!!!! Oh my gosh...what are they going to look like, I am so excited...how many pockets will there be?? How many coupons can fit in there? I nearly broke the speed of sound trying to get to her house and she showed me them on etsy, but it wasnt quite what how I wanted a coupon purse to be...so I decided I would try to make one myself the way I wanted it to look. I liked the way it turned out. I'm just refurbishing old purses and making them new and useful again!

OMG! I am laughing so hard that my family are staring at me like I have 2 heads...
What theme music could we use? Silk boxer shorts or Recycled grocery bag shorts?
On a serious note...It is a criminal offence to remove items from a persons mail box...taking coupons from a mail box is no different then stealing cheques from mail boxes...in the eyes of the law stealing is stealing...and she should be outed...hopefully the embarassment of the whole thing would make her stop...

wow. Just wow. If the guilty party is reading this, you've gone too far. For shame really.
With regard to watching my coupons (and purse of course) while shopping, years of travelling has made me very aware of pickpockets, etc. and thankfully I still have those instincts and awareness. Sad to say, the few times I have shopped at Walmart my spidey senses tingled quite a bit.Last edited by Dee09; Wed, Jul 6th, 2011 at 02:32 AM.

Huh. It never occurred to me that a person would steal coupons...I always have the coupons I'm using in my hands...
Love the purses!

I usually plan my shopping trip and take just the coupons I will use into the store. My binders are locked in my car just in case I happen upon a great deal.

That coupon purse is a great idea.
But you know I get those flyers and there is very little of the coupons I use as do not have kids in diapers and I do not use smelly stuff. I m also trying to up out my cleaning supplies
If anyone wants something let me know as maybe we could have a drop off spot(I live close to Capilano Walmart)

I found a pretty effective way of getting people to stop looking at 'the bible' (as the husband calls the coupon book) with envy...
I bought a purple and pink Hannah Montana binder. It's covered in "I <3 JUSTIN BIEBER" writing all over it. (Hate them both with a passion, for the record). But WHO in their right mind wants to be seen walking around with that?! And really...it would be pretty hard to hide, and pretty easy for me to notice somebody walking away with it.
With that said, I do guard my book as well as my children now. My daughter refers to it as her 'poopon sister book'. ha.

Being frugal is smart, stealing is immoral whether it is a coupon or a car! This is disheartening.

I believe it's illegal for people to go into your mailbox and take anything out. It's a federal crime if I am remembering correctly...
Am looking for coupons for Pepsi or Coke products, Sun-Rype fruit leather or snacks, fruit, meat, veggies, chocolate, toothpaste, 2 in 1 shampoo, cereal ( Raisin Bran, Frosted Flakes, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruit Loops) milk, restaurant,
