    I ordered an amazing deal of a laptop on NewEgg last week. Got it Wednesday afternoon. I was so happy!

    Started it up, and discovered it was a Chinese version of Windows. Using my redneck skills, I managed to get it setup so I could access the control panel and change to English. Suprise!! no ENglish available.

    Talked to customer service, they said they cannot refund since it was refurbished. Had to exchange. But they are out, so there is nothing they could do. At this point, I called head office in California to resolve it. Got some results.

    But now 2 days have passed and they still have not figured it out. I'm rather disappointed. Monday 3PM I'm going to let the ape out of the cage if they don't take care of this by this then. I got a couple thousand images I need to process and my old laptop is pretty much dead.

    Huh, my dh purchased a couple of things from NewEgg and he was happy with whatever he bought.

    I'm guessing it came with Windows 8?

    If so, here's a link on how to download language packs. The tough part is that you need to search the word language on the laptop, and then find the English pack. So I'm not sure if this will be much help to you.

    No windows 7. I got too much stuff that does not work with Windows 8

    Thanks. yes but I need ultimate package. I am to chepa to pay for that since I think NewEgg should be giving me english. Maybe I outta get it and be done with it.
